Visited this location early Sunday morning, so no wait and prompt service. Ordered queso since I had just seen it made Top 10 quesos in SA, and it was good... not great, but it grows on you the more you have. The chips are almost too thin and light though, as some were breaking in the queso. I also ordered a tortilla soup and a HUGE PET PEEVE of mine is the server bringing soup out WITH THE MEAL!!!! 😬 But sure enough, after waiting a while I asked waitress about the soup and that I would like it BEFORE the meal, she stated "let me go ask the cooks about it" and returns with it, only to bring out all the food 2 minutes later...🤷‍♂️ I do have to say, the soup was extra hot which I requested, and this really does LOOK like it could be the best tortilla soup around with big chunks of chicken, avocado and cheese, BUT, and this is a yuge BUT, the broth is flavorless.... plain jane bland chicken broth poured over it...NO BUENO. Throw in a can of fireroasted tomatoes or something...but please work on that broth! All other dishes were great! Kids plates are a great value. Their quesadillas (2) were huge and stuffed and they even get a side, drink and choice of push-pop or ice cream. My chicka-Boom enchiladas were good and wife's steak burrito was tasty. All in all, will we be baxk, YES. Will we order queso ($8) and soup, NO. Happy ending though, we did receive a FREE QUESO card at the end. 😁👍

Update, DON'T GO HERE!!! We came for dinner on June 5th. They were not too busy, but we waited about 50 minutes to get our food after we ordered! At least three groups of people that were seated about 20 minutes after we ordered our food got their food way before we did! The waitresses said the kitchen is busy. I got tired of waiting so I asked to speak with the manager. He said the same thing, the kitchen is busy. When I asked how so many other people that were seated after we ordered got their food before we did, he said some food takes longer to cook. I told him what we ordered and compared that to what other tables were given. We had a kids hamburger, enchilada, soup and tacos, while other tables had huge meals, including fajitas. He said hamburgers take 10 minutes to cook and fajitas only 30 seconds. Yes, he said that lie! I tried to ask him something else and he just turned his back me and walked away. He should be FIRED! They never even gave a discount or price reduction on the bill. They don't care about customers! DON'T GO TO THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!!! Update; We came back on September 6th and the food and service was still very good. We came here for the first time today, August 15th. The food and service was very good. The only disappointment was in the limited items on the menu. Other than that, we were happy. We will definitely come back.

I would have given more stars but the service took a major dive. The server was attentive and helpful when placing my order. It was my first time here and I’m kind of picky. We decided on the queso with beef appetizer. I got beef enchiladas with cheese sauce and my husband got the crispy tacos. He got sweet tea and I got water. The queso was delicious, the chips were light and crispy. My husband loved the crispy tacos and the rice. My enchiladas were good, I could only eat one. The refried beans were runny and no flour tortillas came with the plate like I’m used to getting. At this point I was still fairly satisfied with my meal and the service. We were ready to go and asked for a to go box for my plate, a container for the queso and chips and a to go tea. She said she’d be right back. Right at that time they sat a big party and she went to help them. But she totally forgot about us. We sat there for another 20 minutes or more waiting. She took all of their orders and got all their drinks and still never came back to us. They could have waited the 5 minutes it would have taken to get us out of there. We finally waived her down and she gave us the check. I was not happy.

Our go to stop for a marg with chips and salsa on a night away from our busy lives. However, this visit was disappointing. Today I witnessed an employee, not sure if she is a hostess or waitress, walk out the restroom without washing their hands.

In addition, my husband and I love to sit at the bar. The bartender, Jordan seems highly distracted socializing with her peers than servicing her customers. The bar was dirty at arrival with only 1 customer sitting. We stood for several minutes until we HAD to ask if she could clean an area for us to sit. Jordan decides to spray cleaning spray over our salsa, wipes in a circle hitting me with crumbs and the dirty cleaning rag. She literally cleaned nothing. Crumbs, used napkins, straw wrappers and drink coasters in the sitting area where we were. In shock that she found that acceptable, I said to her “ please give me napkins to wipe it down. No way, this is ok for us to eat in this area.” I pointed out everything that she left behind, and to be fair I wasn’t being a difficult customer. Our area was the same when we came in, filthy with just water swipes on the bar. I continued to say, please give me napkins to do your job for you. And guess what?! She did! Instead of just cleaning up the area and at least apologizing. I, cleaned my own area and picked up trash. -HA

Suggestion as well for Jordan, might be smart to keep your comments of drinking at your job once it closes at 10 to hit up whatever bar you and your coworkers tend to go out to after work. Definitely not something, customers should hear. Also, please do not handle food, after touching your cellphone several times.

Mind you, this was at 9pm. It was empty. Due to this interaction, it made a Friday evening that was suppose to fun and relaxing to an uncomfortable night. I did not feel right eating my food and just our interactions between us were awkward.

We love Chuys and come here often but tonight was the first we didn’t get great service. Honestly,...

I came in Friday night around 7pm this week. We were sat as a party of three and my husband hung back at the hostess stand due to the poor and quite frankly, dehumanizing treatment of an unhoused man who was clearly down on his luck. He was victim to losing everything after his house burned down to the ground. My husband wanted to buy him food and was met with “…oh well I guess so but our Togo specialist is really busy so it’ll be a long time.” All in an effort to prevent this man being given a meal they were going to be paid for. Once our server came around 10 min after we sat she proceeded to take our order for drinks and the Togo order, brought out both of our margaritas incorrectly and took 30 min for us to receive the to go order as well as the chips and queso for the table. Once her family showed up to eat they were sat in the booth behind us and she sat down with them and audibly talked poorly about other customers and their “obnoxiously complicated orders” and the amount of food one man ordered for himself. Once our Togo order arrived she stated “the manager threw in some food as well on us.” Interestingly after his staff was incredibly rude for him seeking respite of air conditioning and water on the waiting bench. Mind you, there was no wait not even half the restaurant was filled. I have been going to chuys my entire life all over Texas depending on where I lived and this was by far the WORST service, speed of service and food quality I’ve ever had. Mikayla needs training severely on rate of speed, speaking about other customers, and getting the simplest orders correct. The kitchen… I don’t know what’s going on in there I’ve never been so sick after eating at a Chuys. The manager, pay attention to your staff and their inability to humanize a fellow HUMAN BEING who’s severely down...

We ordered 2 family fajita meals to go with an extra dozen tortillas for New Year's Eve. The total with a tip was $200. My husband went to pick it up and he had to wait a long time because the person doing the to go area was off in the corner talking to their friend. When he got home I noticed that they did not put the extra dozen tortillas, 2 guacamole, 2 sour cream, 2 jalapeño salsa, 2 regular salsa's, and second bag of chips. Basically a quarter of what we purchased wasn't given to us. I called and the manager said she could replace it or send me a dinner card in the mail. I told her we needed the items so my husband went all the way back to get the items. When he arrived, the manager, Ashley, told him that the lady that put our order together was their best waitress so there was no way she had made that kind of mistake. She also told him that they had packed up 8 of the family meals that day and didn't make a single mistake on those so she didn't think she made a mistake on our order. She told my husband that he needed to send her a picture of the food we had gotten from them. After sending the pic to my husband the manager then replaced the missing items. When he left I called Ashley to ask why she would ask for a pic as if we were scamming them out of some chips and salsa. My husband left to get the order at 6pm and he didn't finish with the entire ordeal until 8pm. The worst Chuys experience we have ever had and we will never order from this location again. Ashley should not be a manager in a customer service centered industry if she doesn't know how to make customers feel respected and understood. Why would we pay $200 for food just to have the manager treat us like we are scammers. Do...
