Our go-to wine bar and special occasion retail wine location. Scott, Austin, and the whole team make you feel so welcomed (ā€œhospitality firstā€). We will often discuss our general wants for the evening/afternoon (in pretty vague terms) and the team consistently nails each and every bottle of wine. Charcuterie board are plentiful and the baguette accompaniments are locally sourced. This place is the wine bar San Antonio has needed. I can’t speak highly enough about the availability of high quality wine in every price point paired with a knowledgeable staff. Special notes: dog friendly on the patio; take a glass to go and walk around the Pearl (open container allowed); great for beer lovers (bottles, cans, magnums), too.

Yes, they have AMAZING wine, but that is the easy part. High Street's wine experts are brilliant! You have the option of creating your own wine flight. I highly suggest that you do this, then let your wine expert know what you like in a wine and he or she will then curate a flight to your personal tastes. From three words they were able to bring wines from three continents that amazed my palate. The wine experts here are also the furthest thing from snooty that you can get. You will hear genuine laughter, great music and get great conversation while at High Street. The charcuterie boards are varied and hand cut in house. If you like wine, get yourself to High Street right now!!!!

Hi Street Wine Co. had me feeling like a certified sommelier or at least a very fancy wine enthusiast who pretends to know what ā€œlegsā€ mean. From the moment we walked in, the place was super cool. The manager even invited us into the wine cooler, which made me feel like I was being inducted into an elite, grape fueled secret society. The vibes? Laid back luxury. If you’re looking for a fun experience with friends, here’s the move: grab two wine flights. One red, one white and let the bartender take the wheel. It’s like a boozy trust fall, but for your taste buds. And for about $18 a person, it’s a grape deal šŸ˜‚ Service and hospitality? Top-tier. 10/10 would rosĆ© all day here again.

Extremely disappointed in our first time visit here. Met up with friends to celebrate graduating with our doctorates. We walked over after dinner at Supper at Hotel Emma where a few in our group had a few glasses of wine. We had a DD and also a pregnant woman in our group. After sitting down the waiter, Kevin, checked our IDs and then left the table without asking for our order or providing any insight on the wine offerings for the table. Instead, we were awkwardly approached again and were told that we had clearly been drinking before and they did not feel comfortable serving us any bottles of wine. No one in our group was acting belligerent or inappropriately. It was incredibly rude. We brought this to the attention of the staff on our way out and were told that they felt it was the appropriate call due to two people in our group stumbling - one of which was 8 months pregnant and had ordered a non-alcoholic beverage. A complete lie.

It is a shame that a poor judgement call was made before we were even able to give this place a chance. I have never received such terrible service.

The waiter, Kevin, needs to be taught on how to read customers and approach them in the appropriate manner if there is a serious concern for excessive alcohol...

En vino Veritas: Google asked me for a review, so I will be honest. Hospitality is something I miss. I wanted to sample wine and buy a bottle whole sale when I visited the farmers' market. It felt like an interogation when I walked into this place and staff spoke to me without a hello or "Howdy" then hovered over me without being helpful and told me I had to look online. I was by myself, nobody with me, so maybe my expectations were to be treated like a perfect stranger and welcomed with wine. Lately, COVID has made going places difficult, especially restaurants and wine bars, which may have contributed to my poor experience and quick exit, so I didn't actually order anything, just disappointed with not being treated well, much less welcomed when I walked in. P.S. Saw some comments where people misspelled sommelier; and as an amateur oenophile I must say I was not impressed with the high markup, nor quality of the šŸ· selection, so if you don't mind paying for overpriced wine and want to support a place in the Pearl, this...

What a treat! If you are out and about and need something to quench your thirst and a Lil something to nosh on... don't come here.... joking!! I just don't want it to get too popular that I can't get table next visit!

Looking for a good glass of wine and we were in the area shopping, found this gem.

The entire staff is hands down awesome and KNOWLEDGEABLE about their wines, made lovely recommendations and we were treated to a lovely sweet treat which I hope we see again on the menu...light, airy, slight sweet, mint orangy essence..perfect for the palate

Seating is placed nicely, plenty of bar seating and seating for small groups...patio is awesome with the sounds of water and a lovely breeze...

We will be back for sure..if you are at my favorite table... move LOL...

To the staff... thank you for such a...
