Home Plate Sports Grill — Restaurant in San Antonio

Dropped in with my husband on a Saturday just because we were in the area. I believe this is a spot for "regulars". The bartender was very rude and acted as though you were a bother to her when ordering. We ordered draft beer. Big mistake on our part considering the beer was warm and the glasses were dirty with hardwater stains. The second round we decided on bottles. We ordered 4 bottles. The bartender got offended when my husband asked if they could be in a bucket of ice and charged him $2 extra to get them on ice. The only highlight was the DJ and the flat screens. The DJ played a mix of popular music from now and the past with some spanish & country songs mixed in as well. Me and my bestie went to this little Place Called Home Plate tonight it was a pretty cool little bar a lot of diversity and the people were laid back and you feel comfortable. In the short time that we were there they played songs that were anywhere from alternative dance to Tejano to country western a little bit of something for everyone.. I would definitely recommend checking out this little place for a little fun dancing...

I googled this place because im not familiar with this area and wanted to try something new.as we are w entering the bar i noticed it was super empty.
