Venta Furnishings — Local services in Leon Valley

First let me say this review has more to do with their financing partners than the store Itself. Their owners are sweet and the store had a great selection with affordable prices. HOWEVER, their financing partners "American first finance" is a sham!!!. I bought a $1100 table and the father of the owner stated it would be 18 month payments with a choice to buy out at 101 days same as cash. Cool sounds fine. I should have read the contract with a fine tooth comb because it was not a finance contract at all. It was a rent to own agreement. this is key ! So the finance company is taking out weekly payments and I noticed my payoff went from $600 to $2500!! of course I called and they stated the "buy out" period ended and now the lender fees are applied! Which was over $2500 dollars. Totaling $3500!!!! It wasn't even an interest rate applied it was whatever they wanted to apply!!! So the rental agreement states you can cancel anytime you want because you don't own it. When i told them to come pick the table up they said you have to call the furniture store. So I called these people and the owner said they don't take back furniture. So I call back the finance company and they said they don't take it either so I would need to donate to a non profit organization and submit a donation receipt to cancel the contract. That already sounds shady so I just paid it off with the buy out extension they offered. The problem is that this furnishing company needs to make their customs aware their offering them a sure way into debt because nobody should be signing for this it's impossible to pay off!!!! My experience with my seller was amazing, deliveries were booked for a whole week and a half, and my awesome seller contacted me immediately as soonest they had an opening since one of their costumers canceled their delivery and i was able to get my sectional just a few days after purchase, assembly was easy and no extra charge but the $50 for a second floor apt drop off. Total of five stars For her.

HOWEVER the reason for my three stars is because of the credit company they finance with. Kornerstone Credit makes it so hard for you to get in contact with them. Their online portals and apps are absolute trash. You have no access to your account info AT ALL unless you spend 15min on the phone with a representative with dogs on the background. One of my questions before i buy anything is if they have online access to make payments, my representative told me they did, and they were very flexible on changing things for you. Well i got my 3 month no interest and every two weeks payments, what they don’t tell you is if you wanna move your pay day or change it to every month you have to wait till your first payment and there’s a $30 charge. It’s too early for me to give a KornerStore credit a full review since yesterday was my first payment and i don’t see anything on my bank account much less on the app, but so far i am not happy with their system. And i’m sorry if this review affects the store in general but something i wanted to let people know before they apply for credit there. Hey y'all. If you haven't been down to see the Venta family you don't know what you're missing. They have been like a breath of fresh air to me. I was in DESPERATE NEED of some new bedroom furniture but my credit wasn't all that great but They jumped right in there for me and made it happen and there aren't many companies that will help if you don't have A1 credit and this will also look good on my credit for on time monthly payments and check this out... they not only deliver but they have some awesome handsome guys lol that came in and put it together for me. I bought a brand new comforter set for my bedroom months before but I wouldn't put it on my bed until I got a new one. I couldn't wait to put my brand new comforter set on my bed. I put the guys out lol Jumped in the shower(you know you gotta get clean and smell good lol) and made up my bed, lit some smell good candles got a BIG GLASS of wine lol turned on some jazz and chilled out in my bedroom. Needless to say I haven't enjoyed being in my bedroom for a long time but with this AWESOME bedroom set I can't stay out of it lol!!! They are an AWESOME FAMILY so before you go anywhere else check them out you won't be disappointed. Thanks Venta family for allowing me to enjoy my bedroom again. You guys are the best.
