Flaming Bird By H-E-B — Restaurant in Leon Valley

I recently visited Flaming Bird inside H-E-B after hearing great things from my husband, who had a wonderful experience there before. I was really looking forward to trying the waffle fries and grilled chicken, but unfortunately, the fries have been discontinued.

I decided to order the chicken nachos instead. The portion was smaller than expected — only a few tostadas that were a bit compacted together — and there were only a few pieces of chicken. My order also came out missing the queso, which I had paid extra for.

The staff didn’t seem very engaged, and the dining area could have been cleaner, which made the visit a bit disappointing. I do think the restaurant has potential, and I hope to see some improvements in food quality and customer service, because I would love to give it another try...

Would have taken a picture but I ate it all too fast. I am so glad they added a flaming bird here at the Bandera and 410 HEB! I used to have to go to the southside for one, now it’s down the street. Food is amazing as always, and shout out to Dida for being so sweet and charming, meticulous...

I love HEB the flaming bird stuffed potatoes, and shredded chicken bowl, especially off of Marketplace. Scott provided great service and was patient when taking my order request....
