The manager (female) charged my card without my authorization AND without my card this afternoon. I'm highly upset about this and will be taking this to corporate.
I came in today with a group of people. I ordered the managers special with a 1 trip salad bar. I asked the guy running the register if he could upcharge me for the whole sandwich. He told me no worries, it would be $1.00 for the salad. I was charged $8.59 plus $1.00 for tax. He was very kind and respectful.
I realized I didn't order a drink, so I went up and purchased a large drink. When I got my salad and sat down to eat, my sandwich came. It was a half sandwich, not a whole. I explained to him the first time I ordered that I was taking the other half home to my son. He understood I was wanting the whole sandwich.
Something didn't look right so I compared my pricing to my receipt. I was either charged wrong or didn't get the other half of my sandwich. I went back up to the counter for a 3rd time. I asked the young man running register what happened. He apologized genuinely and told me he was new. I wasn't upset and understand it's a learning curve. He was kind and did his best to help and make it right. Another young man came up to helo him, since he was new. He explained I wasn't charged for the other half of the sandwich but charged for an extra salad that shouldn't be there. He was amazing and took his time explained to the trainee the proper procedure. I was VERY impressed with these 2 young men!!!
I asked the young man if I needed to get my card for the salad refund. I was told no, it's okay. They then get the female manager. She didn't have the courtesy, patience, or understanding these 2 young men half her age did. She was just in a hurry and regarded me like I wasn't really there and in such a hurry. She told me it was going to be a little bit more, price wise. I told her don't worry about it. I'm started to get upset and won't eat my half of the sandwich. I'm going to take the sandwich home to my son and just give eat the salad. My whole table is basically done and I've had half of a salad by this time. She did whatever it was she did and rolled out. I looked at the original young man and was a little confused. He said she was just giving me then other half of the sandwich (as a courtesy).
I'm looking at my bank statement and I have 3 charges from Jasons Deli by the manager. She charged another $4.38 onto my card without my authorization, after I told her I didn't want the other half, and without my card.
This is NOT okay and I'm extremely disappointed in the management of this deli. I applaud the new kid for staying professional, keeping a good attitude, not making me feel like and imconcience, and being a professional...

⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3 out of 5 stars) Review for Jason’s Deli
I want to start by saying that I’ve always loved Jason’s Deli. The food is consistently good, the pricing is fair for what you get, and the complimentary ice cream and large salad bar are major perks that keep me coming back. That said, my recent visit left me feeling disappointed due to a handful of service issues that I feel need to be addressed.
From the moment I walked in, there was a noticeable lack of hospitality. No greeting, no smile—just a cold, almost annoyed demeanor from the team member who initially assisted me. I understand it was a busy time (the place was packed), but even during rush hours, customer service should still be a top priority. A simple “hello” or “we’ll be right with you” can go a long way in making guests feel welcomed.
After placing my order, the food took a reasonable amount of time to come out, but when it did, I was concerned to see that the employee delivering it was not wearing gloves, had no hairnet, and handled the plates with bare hands, fingers touching the rim of the dishes. In today’s world—especially in the food service industry—basic hygiene standards like glove use and hair coverings are not optional. They’re essential.
To add to that, my order was incorrect. There seemed to be a breakdown in communication, possibly from the young woman who took my order. I had to physically go back to the counter to explain the issue, and only then did they agree to remake the meal. While I appreciate that the staff corrected it promptly, it would have saved time and frustration if the order had been double-checked the first time around.
Despite these service and cleanliness concerns, I still have to give credit where it’s due. Jason’s Deli remains a favorite for its food quality. My sandwich (once corrected) was delicious and fresh. The salad bar is well-stocked with a wide variety of options, and the free soft-serve ice cream is a fun bonus that makes the experience feel a little more special. The environment—though hectic during busy hours—is generally clean, family-friendly, and well-maintained.
I really hope this location takes steps to improve their front-of-house training and food-handling protocols. I’d love to keep recommending Jason’s Deli to friends and family, but experiences like this make it hard to do so without hesitation. I know they’re capable of better, because I’ve...

No one was at the counter for at least 5 minutes. I tell the person my name and I'm picking up a to go order. He looks at the 4 orders on the counter and says they must still be making it...
I wait 20 more minutes. A person walked in to order food to go during this time, they received their order 5 minutes later. At this point I'm getting very annoyed as it's been 45 min since I ordered. I'm still patiently waiting but decide to ask a different employee if he could check because someone just ordered 5 minutes ago and received his order. I had only ordered half a sandwich and a salad, it wasn't a big order.
He checks the 4 orders on the counter, and of course mine has been on the counter the ENTIRE TIME since I first walked in.
To me this is just pure incompetence, no mistake was made, it wasn't staffing shortages, or anything else. What did the employee do when checking the order when I gave my name?
Do yourself a favor and just walk in and order, instead of trying to save yourself time... You will likely just...
