Arrived on October 23, 2025 at about 12:25 pm at Jason’s Deli #261 at 5819 NW Loop 410 San Antonio, Texas. As usual our orders were filled promptly and we proceeded to enjoy our bounty! We ordered a Brownie but they forgot to bring it with our meal so I went and got it from “Chris” at the counter! My wife enjoys the Brownie while I help myself to the free Ice Cream. Or should I say “Slushy”! The three servers on the Ice Cream “ Slushy” Machine were dripping which means the temperature was too high to keep the Ice Cream at the correct cold serving temperature. We had quit coming to this Jason’s Deli because of this tiny Customer Service Failure! We switched to the Alamo Ranch location because of this issue. We had been faithful Customers until many many months ago when the Ice cream machine was an issue and had been shut down for repair. The only reason we stopped this day is because we were driving by that location and we decided to give it a try again! Restaurants like this set an achievable standard that satisfies Customers expectations of service and food quality! They failed again! So! Why is it so important to fix a little old Ice Cream machine? It asks the question about Customer Care but more importantly if this little issue is not looked and fixed and NOT considered important, then what else is going on (not good) in the kitchen that is not up to “JD” Standard but still served as Jason’s Deli Standard? I saw other Customers who got Ice Cream who took a look at the mushy slushy consistency and the two different Customers shrugged their shoulders and walked off with “that” disappointed look on their face. Next time we will go to Alamo Ranch or to other Jason’s Deli throughout Texas on our many travels! They meet the QUALITY Standard! FIX IT!

Read moreI have not been disappointed with a Jason's Deli until now, after 15 years the day has come. It seems that there may have been a management change and so too the quality of the food has diminished. Rueban was dry and there was no saurkraught. The California club was all mixed greens with very little turkey, the soup was cold and stiff at the 12:30p lunch rush (there was no rush today). The ice cream machine was broken, rather than load the chocolate in the chocolate or swirl dispenser, it was loaded in vanilla, with no sign or indicator of the change, which is an unnecessary conversation with an excited two year old that hates chocolate, particularly when you come out to enjoy a nice meal and that is the ending. There are so many great things about Jason's including the staff, but even the best staff can't endure poor management and at a time when as customers we are making tough choices about where we spend our limited entertainment funds, I predict Jason's location won't sustain with mediocre delivery when the competition is this tight for recession strapped patrons and their funds. Find other ways to cut costs, reset expectations, but do not skimp on quality or your formally best in service delivery of a consistently great experience. I did leave a message for Henry, but I have a sneaking suspension, the message was not relayed. Good businesses limit customer contact regarding concerns, great ones take them in stride. Make Jason's...
