Maeve — Restaurant in San Antonio

I'm pretty biased, but Maeve is a gem of a spot filling a huge void in San Antonio's electronic music scene. Top notch bartenders serving up great cocktails. Really awesome food truck parked onsite serving late (or at least until sold out). Excellent sound, indoor and out. Safe respectful vibe with grade-A security. Although Maeve has only been open for a couple months, it is already frequented by a community of music lovers that cut across the cultural spectrum. The music is always on point, showcasing a lot of local and regional talent, with big international bookings on the near horizon. Maeve is also the new home for several of SA's staple House music monthlies. Can't recommend highly enough, well worth a visit for a chill night at the bar earlier in the week (currently they are open Monday to Saturday) or some fun on the dancefloor as the week runs into...

I love the vibes here on Thursdays so let me share a few pointers:

-Parking: if you arrive at a decent time before most people you can park in their lot but I don’t recommend it because once it gets packed you will probably get blocked in AND it gets super dusty

-Food: there is a food truck inside and another outside. I tried the one inside and although it was on the pricier end, the shrimp quesadilla was really good!

-Drinks: also can be on the pricier end depending on day. Look at your receipt carefully because they did add 20% gratuity to mine last night.

Overall it’s a clean and spacious place but once it hits 11ish they will start labeling and adding more tables for sections (booo!) so it gets more crowded. The DJs are so good too. Bathrooms are typically clean.

Interesting place, and much bigger than I thought. I visited this place pretty late a night, and the food truck area was closed down. So I don’t have much to say about the food options, or tasting. The bar itself is nicely set up. It gets a little crowded. Plenty of drink options as far as cocktails, and can/bottle drinks. They have 2 bar areas to order from. The dance area is limited, but the music was absolutely great. It was mainly a DJ on the turntable throwing out electro dance music which really gets the blood flowing. Enjoyed the lighting through the night which went to the beat of the music. They ID upon entry. The bar is dim lit, and some couch seating, bar seats, and tables through the establishment to stand at. Looking forward to another...
