I was craving Chinese yesterday on the way home and was in the 410/Wurzbach area and this was the only spot on the way home and my last chance for Chinese so, I took a chance on it. It’s a little place against the wall and I’ve passed by it many times but wow am I glad I finally stopped there! It’s not too big inside but has big booths, it is dimly lite and has a calm atmosphere and pretty decor. The young lady who helped me was very sweet, quick and very attentive. The Lemon chicken lunch special was amazing! The dish came with 2 green onion cream Rangoons (you can get fried wontons or egg roll I think there are other option) 2 big scoops of fried rice, soup, and a huge crispy chicken breast, (and a huge glass of water with lemon to wash it all down), a filling lunch for me all under $13! (Not including tip) From what I could see if the menu, everything was reasonably priced as well. I order the lemon chx dish at all the Asian restaurants I go to and some are too orange flavored or sugary but this one was perfect! Not too sweet not too sour, just the right hint of lemon. And the hot & sour soup was tasty as well! This is definitely the place to get this favorite chicken dish of mine now; the funny thing is, I gave the lady in-front my compliments and she said, that it’s actually a customer favorite and most ordered thing there! I can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu with my family. I left so incredibly full & satisfied.

Came in for late dinner with my partner as a first time. I ordered a combination twice cook pork and sesame chicken with hot and sour soup. Partner had Kung Pao chicken with egg drop. My meal was awesome! Some of the best Chinese I've had in awhile actually. I was very happy with my plate. Unfortunately there were a LOT of peanuts on my partners Kung Pao, which he was not expecting. We planned to inform the server and politely ask for a remake, but he never came to check on us between the food and the bill...was very disappointing and made us both feel out of place. I told my partner to inform the host who came to our table and did offer accommodating, but by that point, my meal was finished and his appetite soured unfortunately. 3/5. 1 star deducted for the dish, and 1 star for the poor service. I am a waiter myself, and I follow the 2 minute, 2 bites rule. Always check on guest after dropping the meal to AVOID a situation like ours. Was very much hoping to leave a better review. I'll personally try again if I'm in the area, but partner may need some convincing. Thank you to host/manager on duty for trying to resolve situation. And again, fantastic sesame chicken and twice cooked pork! My partner DID enjoy portions of the Kung Pao once scraping off the nuts. Give them a chance if in the area, but probably wouldn't go out of my way.

OVERALL: You will pay for what you get!! So for some cheap chinese food I say why not! It seems like some people enjoy it! it seems like it’s a family owned so I didn’t want to criticize too much because family owned restaurants always deserve second chances! try at your risk! I went here because it was rated 4.4 stars with 800 reviews 🥺 I was super hopeful! Crab rangoon’s was literally cheese rangoons i suggest they change the name so people don’t get confused! The sweet and sour sauce was lighter for some reason… Egg roll we got on the side with our order is a HARD NO. it’s something you buy at the freezer section and reheat. my boyfriend got the lemon chicken he said it was okay but the chicken wasn’t cooked all the way so we just took it home so we can re cook it! I had the sesame chicken it was okay as well. we both had the different soups and we both enjoyed it. With that being said our server had his hand in our fried wonton chips so that was super unsanitary. on my health code rating I would give it a 1/5 because of the server, then I didn’t see them wipe down any tables, Also I highly doubt they change the spoons on a daily bases in the hot oil which is scary because there’s a lot of who don’t know that’s a community oil so they put it in their bowl or etc.

This place was disgusting! I can’t even make this up. I should’ve walked out as soon as I stepped in, the place smelled so gross and moldy, the place looked run down. Our waiter was great! I went to wash my hands after placing my order. The cook hit me with the door rushing to go to the restroom. He had explosive diarrhea and he left the door open, couldn’t believe it. I lost my appetite, when I got to booth and I was giving my wonton soup, should’ve never eating after that experience but I went ahead and tasted it and it was salty and the crispy noodles tasted like old cooking oil. I got my sesame chicken and I cut into my chicken and it looked a slightly pink and the batter inside was raw, did not even try that. The rice was okay but only took a few bites and egg roll tasted okay but it was stringy and lastly the fried ragoons were so plain no flavor at all and no green onions, no salt or garlic. Just eating oily fried cream cheese. I paid the bill, she told me $36 and I get the receipt and it said $38 asked why is there an extra charge and she said the charge to use a debit/credit card and it’s rounded to $2, without me being told when I walked in. So at that this point I can’t take it anymore, so I let her know nicely that the food was gross and raw and tasted old and she said they could’ve made me something else, and I said nope I didn’t want anything else or try anything else and I left. We got home and my husband and I started feeling sick, I had it the worst, I was throwing up so bad. Took a few hours after I felt better but NEVER again will I go there. Go at your own risk. That place looked nothing like the review...

I used to eat at the old location on Bandera near Eckhert Rd. That place was pretty good. However I recently tried this location and I'm very disappointed with the cleansing Ness of this location. So a few weeks ago I came by to eat lunch and I noticed a German cockroach next to me at the edge of the stall in the restroom. So I thought to myself hopefully it's just that one roach that creeped in through the drain... A few weeks later my wife and I decided to give it another go and to my wife's surprise, this time she spotted another German cockroach on our table/booth. We immediately moved to another table. We told the waitress Mary about the roach so that she can inform her boss about getting the pest control personnel to adress the bug issue and she immediately walked over to pretend as if she caught the critter with her finger tips and placed it in the trash. That grossed us out because she still had to bring us our food and there's no telling if she washed her hands even though she pretended to catch the bug but we were not close enough to be 100% sure. Lastly I asked Mary for some scrunchies for our soup with no luck getting them. When I reminded her about them she replied and assumed that since there was a 50 cent charge that's why she didn't bring us any. They didn't used to charge extra for fried noodles/scrunchies. By the Mary used to be nice but lately...
