New review: Everything was so much better. Service was great, a lot of staff, manager or maybe owner went around checking on everyone. You must try the Sichuan dry spicy chicken.
————— Old/opening day review:————- Accidentally went on opening day and it was a mess. The Sichuan Dry Spicy Chicken was amazing and the rest of the food was just okay. I’ll definitely give them a second try when they get settled in and figured things out, but on this busy opening day: I talked directly to a waitress standing at the front asking if there was a waitlist or if we could be seated. She was looking directly in my eyes and then just walked off without a word and didn’t return. They did have an awesome Chinese dancing dragon hired Took 20 minutes to get seated while there was 4 open tables the whole time. Front door was very congested as they prioritized cashing out customers and wouldn’t seat anyone 5 open tables while other customers had to sit and wait to get seated. 2 young children that I would estimate are 10 years or younger were doing a majority of the table bussing, cleaning, and helping with customers Appetizers came out after entrees Opening day gifts/swag were...
Read moreI wish I could give this restaurant a ZERO!! This restaurant sold me Mongolian Lamb that was spoilt. Ad soon as a took a few bites I notice the meat had a smell and taste to it like it wasn’t fresh. I ordered extra shrimp to go with this meal and it only came with 4 shrimp. I paid 33$ for my food and came back to complain that the food wasn’t good. I ended up speaking to the owner and she agreed to give me 1/2 off my order. I agreed. About 3 hours later, a staff member from the restaurant starts questioning me about my experience and tells me she looked at the camera and ate most of the food which was a lie. The meat made my stomach upset that I couldn’t eat anymore food. Now they went from honoring the 1/2 off to offering 10$ off and when I confronted the lady for being argumentative and calling me to argue instead of correcting the issue, the didn’t offer me any solution at all. She wanted to compare that other people have eaten there with no problems. I’m not other people. I’m complaining about my experience and for this reason I WILL NEVER EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE! They ripped me off and was rude to call me at home to chastise me! The...
Read moreAuthentic Sichuan Flavor Bomb — Ping’s is a Must-Try!
We just ordered carry-out from Ping’s Sichuan Kitchen, and every single dish was a knockout! Located at 2239 Evans Road, #103, San Antonio, Texas, Ping’s is serving up bold, authentic Sichuan cuisine that rivals anything we’ve had — even in big foodie cities.
Here’s what we enjoyed: • Shredded Sweet Garlic Pork – perfectly cooked strips of lean pork tossed in a sweet, garlicky Sichuan sauce. Savory, spicy, and utterly crave-worthy. • Hot & Sour Soup – a flawless version of a classic. Just the right balance of tang, spice, and richness, with fresh tofu and silky egg. • Sweet Garlic Eggplant – velvety, flavorful eggplant in a sweet garlic sauce that’s deep and satisfying. A must-order for veggie lovers and skeptics alike. • Soup Bao Pork (6) – juicy, delicate soup dumplings that burst with flavor. We’re already planning our next order.
The staff was friendly and the food traveled beautifully — still hot and fresh when we got home. Ping’s is an exciting new addition to San Antonio’s food scene, and we can’t wait to come back (or order...
