I absolutely love this place the owner has great specials as well as good food that also helps the calorie count. The people and atmosphere is light and friendly Miss hope is one of my favorite bartenders along with Darrell and the two girls that work on Friday nights when the place is packed. Plus you have to go see mr. cloud (DJ) and everyone who religiously shows up for karaoke on Saturday nights. I'm not kidding mr. Cloud literally has a group that follows him me being one of them as well. This is one of my favorite little neighborhood bars in town plus I can't get over there now open from 7 a.m. till 2 a.m. Serving breakfast at 7 a.m. Lunch and then dinner until 11 p.m. And did I tell you they have great specials... There's a couple different $2 beers on special every month which is awesome so if there is a new local beer you haven't tried and it's on the special bored for $2 or $3.25 ... That's when I always try them. They also have $1 Rookie kazi shots all day everyday!!!! They have five standard shuffleboard tables in the back area and every Wednesday they have shuffleboard League, they also have a pool table and 3 dart boards and I guarantee the breeziest and coziest patio, and I swear I've never seen that bar dirty, it is well kept and always clean!!! Again great & I do mean great place to hang out even bring the kids...

This place is as "Cheers" as you can get in San Antonio! Attentive staff that deliver to your table, a 1.5 oz. pour at prices that sympathize with the working class budget, pub eats for every craving, coffee drinks that can be amped up with booze, televisions galore, an enclosed patio with televisions and music, TouchTunes jukebox, TAPTV trivia, darts, billiards and FOUR of the best shuffleboards you will find south of Cedar Park! The atmosphere is laid back, come as you are, and stay a while. The patrons are welcoming and their stories reminiscing of the original Rookies on Callaghan will crack you up and give you an idea of exactly how the owners concept has lasted for 20+ years. The character in the decor gives an old timey pub feel but the cleanliness and practicality would leave one to assume it is a corporate ran establishment. It is not. We chose to take a look in Rookies Too last night and we liked the staff and the look of the place right up until we were getting ready to leave. What started as a friendly chat turned into an argument. Our bartender launched into a tirade that included anti-Mexican-American statements and I'm clearly Mexican-American. So was about 1/3 of the room. She claims that the Hispanic culture was more violent by nature than...white people I guess. It was all based on her dating two Hispanic men in the past. She was clearly a Trump supporter and wanted the wall built. What good bartender would open a belligerent argument with a customer? Bad for business. She's a tall brunette with a vibrant tattoo covering her lower back. Owners - this woman is bad...
