I will probably never go back to this location even though I’m in the area every week. The cashier, Heaven, was nice but got flustered with a payment issue. No biggie just paid a different way. The barista, Alan, then made my drink and sat it behind the counter for about 4 minutes. (I’m 5’10”. I can see behind the machines. 😑) He chose to serve others in driver through, etc. and finally called the order of the man that had been behind me in line. I knew then that the cup I saw him prepare, cap, and put near the empty cup stacks was mine. I tried to call his attention but he ignored me and just kept stickering empty cups. Finally, he walked away and the drive through worker, Magenta, came over. I asked her for my drink and pointed to it. She changed her tone of voice to this fake patronizing tone and said, “Oh. Maybe this isn’t your drink.” When she saw it was she continued a rude act of how I couldn’t have possibly watched him place my drink behind the counter. I pointed out that this was ridiculous. I left and it turned out the nice cashier had actually messed up my drink order. I called as soon as I was able and the shift manager, Sara, who claimed to be the actual manager, decided to correct my story instead of just try to rectify the drink. I just wanted my drink fixed and to point out the bad behavior. Instead, she decided to explain the process of paying at the register and justify making me wait longer for my drink. When I questioned her professionalism, she referred me to the DM. He handled the situation but it’s clear that the workers couldn’t care less about the customers and are TOTALLY the type to probably spit in your drinks. It was so disappointing. This place is ALWAYS super slow but now I know they’re unprofessional and possibly unhygienic. Don’t play games with people’s food....
Read moreThis starbucks location on Quincy Street demonstrates both the strengths and limitations of the chain's business model. The interior design features warm wood paneling that appears simultaneously sophisticated and mass-produced. Staff members work efficiently despite being visibly understaffed, maintaining professional demeanor throughout customer interactions.
Supply chain issues were evident during this visit, with the location running out of simple syrup for matcha beverages while still having the tea itself available. This situation reflects the chain's emphasis on sweetened beverage options. The pastry display case presents items attractively, though the quality of the baked goods does not match their presentation.
The wood-wrapped counter and carefully selected design elements create an atmosphere that balances corporate efficiency with aesthetic appeal. Track lighting and curated artwork contribute to an environment that, while standardized, offers a comfortable setting for customers.
Staff resilience is notable, with employees maintaining professionalism despite high-volume operations. The establishment has evolved from a coffee shop concept toward a convenience store model that prioritizes beverage sales, as evidenced by the organized display of bottled drinks and packaged snacks.
The location provides consistent, if unremarkable, quality. The environment is clean and well-maintained, with the characteristic aroma combining coffee beans and cleaning products. For customers in areas with limited options, this Starbucks location fulfills basic requirements for coffee service, though the matcha beverages may disappoint when missing key...
Read moreThis is the most well run Starbucks I have ever seen. The staff is amazing! Every time I’m in here they are friendly, cheerful, joking with each other, but also fast, efficient, and very responsive. You can just tell the morale is very high here, and honestly, when the people working at a place are happy, you just enjoy being there so much more. The manager is who impressed me the most. It actually took me a few visits before I realized who the manager was, because she is always doing what I would think would be the more undesirable jobs, and that is what made me want to write this review. Just from being in here today for breakfast, I saw her restock supplies for her team so they aren’t interrupted, clean up a spill, talk and laugh with the other staff, cook the food in the back, straighten the display, clean up the waiting area, and stopped briefly to talk with a couple of customers that I assume are regulars (who were all smiles by the way). This is pretty standard the times I see her in here. I asked one of the staff and her name is Alex. If the owner or someone from their corporate office is reading these, this location is amazing, and if you can recognize the manager somehow, definitely take care of...
