Their tacos are the bomb. I usually like to support small business, but this place tastes like you picked it up from the greatest cooking Abuela's kitchen.... their red salsa is awesome, fresh with good cilantro. Green salsa is great, rivals the best out there for flavor (not hot, but delicious). Tacos are REALLY REALLY good and their tortillas rival the best I've ever had and I make my own with lard at the house. Their tortillas are also heated to perfection, not burned, but enough to give you extra flavor and so you can see they actually went on the flat top. Highly recommend.
Edited because salsa is 1 per 2 tacos or extra money. Told that comes from the owner. Sounds like American Airlines taking 1 peanut out of each bag to save money. If I go and sit to get chips and salsa then pour it in a container for free, how does that compute? Also, we order every morning for an office, so when we order 10 tacos we're supposed to pass around the salsa? How about make containers smaller and do 1 per. Oh, but I'm sure the main savings in pennies that they're going for is the container savings.... Never been anywhere that charges extra just to get one small salsa per taco..... If the tacos were much cheaper or bigger than everywhere else I might get it, but they're competitive. Also, mom and pops do 1 per with only one store location, but them with multiple stores for Tia's Taco Hut, not cheap prices, and multiple other restaurants, and they can't afford to do 1 salsa per? No, this is standard corporation size business that gives no sh*ts and is going to nickel and dime you and their employees. I won't support that on principal alone. Wish everyone else would follow suit, the world would be a brighter place.
Not going back, and that's a shame because tacos...
Read moreI come here at least once a week sometimes 3 times for quick breakfast tacos. I have always had excellent experiences in the drive thru and I’ll credit that to the lady that helps me every time. I wish I knew her name now because she truly has always greeted me with a smile and quick service. I can only describe her as Hispanic, glasses and tattoos. She’s wonderful. Today (Monday at 11:30am) however, I received very different service. A very young girl with curly hair was in charge of the drive thru. At the intercom she answered when I pulled up. I asked for a minute to decide what I wanted. After about 1 minute I said I was ready. No answer. Not a big deal. “Hello?” No answer. “Hello, I’m ready to order.” No answer. I then said hello two more times. Nothing. I sat for about 10 minutes total and then decided to pull around as a line was forming behind me. At the window the same girl made eye contact with me but never opened the window to greet me. I sat there for 15 minutes. As car after car pulled up behind me I was shocked how no one opened the drive thru window. Finally a young man opened it, proceeded to read an order that wasn’t mine and I explained to him I tried to order back there but no one would answer. “Yes, well we take our orders back there.” “I know. I tried to order and called out several times but no one answer.” “Oh okay well it’s because we are busy but I can take your order here if you wait over on the other side.”
I’ve worked in restaurants for the first 11 years of my working life. There was no sense of urgency. No apologizing. Just excuses....
Read moreWaitress was NOT .nice from the beginning and not attentive at all. She brought the food with an attitude just like when we first walked in. Rushed us to order and when the food was brought I noticed the taco on my plate was saturated in oil. The taco had no lettuce or tomatoes and was flipped on top of the chalupa so that side got covered in beans. I put salsa on top of the chalupa and it was spoiled and ruined my taste for anything. My sister told the waitress who went to get the assistant manager The assistant manager was arguing with me as well. Who had attitude and said well I can TRY to get u a discount on the late which I had two plates and didn’t touch the second plate. I still had 3/4 of food left which I couldn’t eat. The assistant manager came and said I was told I could take off my plate just this one time. When she brought the receipt and I read it I saw they didn’t refund my plate the gave refund to my sisters plate because it was $4 cheaper than mine.
So use caution seems not only pre they sloppy they try to take advantage of you. Test the salsa to make sure it’s good and not spoiled! Watch you receipts for inconsistencies!
