I ordered a delivery order through the whataburger app. i gave clear instructions on how to find my apartment. He couldn't find it wheni got on the phone with him and he eventually realized he was at the wrong apartment complex. he kept repeating its not my fault its the app. i did not respond and he started yelling dont be mad at me ill show you. i responded i just want the food. he said 'he could hear in my voice that i blamed him and said he was taking the food back to the store. we immediately contacted the store and the told us we had to call doordash or Uber eats but they didn't know which. We decided to go to the store and retrieve the order but the delivery driver did not in fact take the order back to the store apparently. The manager called someone he referred to as his OTP and reported back that we had no way to prove the order wasn't delivered so they couldn't make it for us. We then called Uber eats who said they had no record of the order because we used the whataburger app and there was nothing they could do. So we called the store back and the manager said I don't use those delivery apps. I said but it's the whataburger app and he said that no one who works there uses the app and he eats at Applebee's and El Pollo loco and he had those apps. I said I don't think you're supposed to say that and he said freedom of speech is in the constitution and that I was putting words in his mouth and trying to "psychiatrist" him. Read moreThis is my first review. Im sorry its a negative one. It happened today around 3:15 ish. I placed the order in drive thru, paid and the drive thru attendant gave me back my receipt and some change. Its so early so i didn't notice at first that i paid with a 20 and the total was 15 something but was only gives a little change back. The drive thru guy gave me change but not the 4 dollars i was supposed to get. At first i thought he forgot the 4 dollars. He gave me my drinks and i told him about the four dollars. He looks at me weird and says line for line "we dont have any 1 dollar bills, i didnt think you would want your change all in quarters". WHAT? I will not accuse anything or pretend what was going on. But after i told him about the 4 dollars he COMES back and hands me 4 dollar bills. WHERE DID THE DOLLAR BILLS COME FROM? I thought they didnt have any. In any case, i did call when i stopped home and let the manager know but i just want to let anyone else know just in case. Ordered delivery, the driver said he couldn’t find the house and said he was going to bring it back to the store, so instead we went to go pick it up. The driver never brought the food back and they refused to make the order, despite us having the receipt, inferring we were lying and just trying to get a second order for free.
In the morning went to the store again to speak to the manager who was aggressive, accusatory and nasty, all for what? $20 in fast food?! She claimed we had to contact the 3rd party delivery service, but she couldn’t tell us which one they used. She said it was in the email, it wasn’t. She said it was in the app, it wasn’t. So now we had no food, no refund, no information on recourse and had been berated and abused by what was supposed to be someone representing customer service.
