Luau Maui Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in San Bernardino

"Loved it!" Thats what we were all sayin when we ate at Luau Maui Hawaiian BBQ,located in San Bernardino,California. Truth be told,we had eaten here a few years ago and needed to be reminded of how fresh and delicious the food was here! We had their combo plates with fresh tonkatsu style terriaki and tonkatsu chicken,shrimp and white fish with their specialty crispy,litely deep fried tonkatsu batter! The plate combos came with fresh,steamy white sticky rice,sauteed cabbage and macaroni-really fresh and tasty! The portions were very generous for the price along with tasty sauces from the sauce bar area! The servers are friendly and courteous,sparkling clean restaurant,tables,chairs,bathroom,free parking and directly across from Sams Club! This visit was quite possibly the worst I have ever experienced here! We placed a "to go" order and one of the things this restaurant is known for is their Hawaiian sauces. We got our order home and it looked like it had been thrown into the packaging. Then the food had zero sauce on any of our food. We looked to see if they put the sauce in separate containers and there was nothing. I had to drive back to the restaurant and tell the cashier that I needed sauce so I could eat my order . She just gave me this smirk like I was bothering her or something. She never offered even a simple apology, nothing but the smirk, oh yeah and we ordered an extra side of their famous macaroni salad too. This was the worst tasting salad I have ever eaten. I have eaten many salads over the years, by the way! We couldn't eat more than a couple of bites and then threw the rest away. It was bad! And, it too was thrown in it's container. I was very unhappy to have spent as much as I did on what ended up...

Brah no can I'm from Maui the west side NAPILI this is not a real Hawaiian plate lunch we do not put tuna or any kind of meat in mac salad anybody that says this is good has never had a real Hawaiian plate lunch like okazuyas or oluwalu General Store this business should either change its name or learn how to make real Hawaiian plate lunch stop putting fish in the mac salad that's not real Hawaiian mac salad marinate your chicken with soy sauce garlic ginger brown sugar vinegar if you're going to claim to be a Hawaiian Barbecue at least try to make it taste like real Hawaiian BBQ honestly I could have sworn the chicken had the Mexican seasoning on it this was a complete waste and $16 for one plate lunch whenever I come back I will never eat here again I'm so glad I live in Las Vegas where we have real kanaka Maoli cooking real Hawaiian plate lunch...
