The manager must be hard up. I paid $12 for a burrito and felt It needed more meat. So instead of complaining I asked for more meat and I have no issue paying for more meat. So now the burrito is $20. No big deal. I get the burrito and the size is hardly different from the $12 burrito. The nice person who wrung me up and was joking with was surprised how much they shorted me on meat. He said I should go tell the manager to compensate me fairly based on how much extra I paid. He flat out told the other employee either I accept the burrito or not. I asked if he could keep the original $12 but refund the extra $7 I paid for more meat. He said no way. He will remake the burrito, throw the original burrito away and charge me for the $12. Dude must be hard up to act like a douche when I tried to point out an honest discrepancy. If you decide to still come here I would make sure that you get what you're paying for I do feel that this is probably not the first time that he has shorted customers. $18 Shrimp Cocktail with 4 shrimp $12 all meat burrito $2.99 twice for extra meat $8 churros

After taxes and tip it was close to $60. Save your hard earned money and go...

The burrito prices are reasonable, and the portions are more than enough for one serving. If you can finish a burrito then you ate more than you should be eating. The cashier welcomed us and suggested a few burritos we might be interested in. We tried something new and asked to have it split. We were thinking to have a California burrito and breakfast burrito, but shared the Westfield burrito instead. It was really good! Cooked fresh to order! The salsa bar was clean and organized. They also had grilled onions and seasoned serrano peppers at the salsa bar. The cashier brought our food and gave us utensils. She didn't have to do that, but she did. Great service! She was very attentive too! I asked for a bag. She looked over at our table and gave me foil to wrap the rest of my burrito in along with a bag to-go. There is street parking and a large parking lot. In the front were 15 minute parking spaces for people picking up orders. Entrance was clean and free of debris. They were not selling alcohol today, but the sign said they will be selling alcohol again very soon. Breakfast burritos...

I love El Patron, but I'm beginning to like it less as time goes by. The price of the Carne Asada fries here was around $7 in 2012. A few years back El Patron raised the price by $1 and reduced the portion size slightly. This was understandable and was not that bad of a price increase. However, in the past two years the price was again raised from $8 to $11. That's about a 57% increase in price in nine years. Idk if the price increase is due to the increase of minimum wages or the wealthy new luxury apartment residents across the street, but they need to get their stuff together. For the mean time, I will continue to eat here as the Carne Asada fries are still insanely delicious, but if they continue down this path in the future they will lose a lot of business.

P.S. For anyone planning to park in the additional parking section to eat or pickup food from here just know that you won't be able to turn left from there anymore. You will have to go all the way south to Ross to do a U-turn. Mira Mesa city planners decided to replace the center turn lane with a giant...

I was looking forward to actual patron with the meal but this was not available. El Patron is an eatery where you can dine-in, dine outdoors, door dash, pick up or like eat in the car. This is a walk up eatery located in a large shopping plaza. I indulged in the chicken enchiladas combo plate. The portion size was considered large and it was tasteful. The beans and rice were moist which I appreciated. When I arrived someone was being served the steak sizzling fajitas on the hot skillet. It smelled smokingly delightful. Another guest had grilled chicken with veggies that also was appealing. I noticed the appetizer menu with jalapeno poppers, buffalo wings, $1.49 Taco Tuesday and a robust breakfast menu. In fact, the entire menu was vast and will require several trips. Service was fast. Two full combos was less than 20 bucks, add the salsa is freshly made and lip smacking good. Since it's was my first time here, I will likely try out other items. The only disadvantage is there are no Yelp check-in perks. Nor google.

Man oh man by far the best burritos and tacos in San Diego! One of our favorite places to go to before heading to the movies near by or grabbing burritos to go. Parking can be tough at times due to it being in a small shopping center and Applebees being near by. Unfortunately they use to serve beers, but for some unknown reasons they do not offer it anymore they use to have the best Micheladas. By far my go to burritos is the Surf and Turf very tender carne asada and large shrimp. I changed it up this time and got in a fries plate and was equally good. The wife ordered fish taco plate which come with rice and beans they usually come in 2 tacos, but with 2 fishes in each taco like every good taco spot they place a extra tortilla for each taco so you can make 4 tacos. Very satisfying for your craving of great Mexican food. Cashiers need some work as they usually have a attitude, but will always come back here.

I've been here a couple times and had a good experiences with their street tacos here, especially on Tuesdays. I've dined-in as well and had a carne asada burrito which was not bad. But recently made an order for takeout and had the worse carne asada burrito ever . The pico de gallo was the worse and check out huge chunks of tomatoes i was picking out (see pictures). The meat tasted like it was a week old and that it had been sitting in the refrigerator. My brother had the carne asada fries in which he mentioned that they changed to crinkle fries instead of the regular cut. He had the same issue with the meat and before he through it away i was able to take a picture of his almost half finished entree. 2 stars for this place; 1 star for taco tuesdays and their street tacos and 1 star for their amazing salsa bar. But I definitely recommend to be cautious taking out food.
