The manager must be hard up. I paid $12 for a burrito and felt It needed more meat. So instead of complaining I asked for more meat and I have no issue paying for more meat. So now the burrito is $20. No big deal. I get the burrito and the size is hardly different from the $12 burrito. The nice person who wrung me up and was joking with was surprised how much they shorted me on meat. He said I should go tell the manager to compensate me fairly based on how much extra I paid. He flat out told the other employee either I accept the burrito or not. I asked if he could keep the original $12 but refund the extra $7 I paid for more meat. He said no way. He will remake the burrito, throw the original burrito away and charge me for the $12. Dude must be hard up to act like a douche when I tried to point out an honest discrepancy. If you decide to still come here I would make sure that you get what you're paying for I do feel that this is probably not the first time that he has shorted customers. $18 Shrimp Cocktail with 4 shrimp $12 all meat burrito $2.99 twice for extra meat $8 churros

Read moreThe burrito prices are reasonable, and the portions are more than enough for one serving. If you can finish a burrito then you ate more than you should be eating. The cashier welcomed us and suggested a few burritos we might be interested in. We tried something new and asked to have it split. We were thinking to have a California burrito and breakfast burrito, but shared the Westfield burrito instead. It was really good! Cooked fresh to order! The salsa bar was clean and organized. They also had grilled onions and seasoned serrano peppers at the salsa bar. The cashier brought our food and gave us utensils. She didn't have to do that, but she did. Great service! She was very attentive too! I asked for a bag. She looked over at our table and gave me foil to wrap the rest of my burrito in along with a bag to-go. There is street parking and a large parking lot. In the front were 15 minute parking spaces for people picking up orders. Entrance was clean and free of debris. They were not selling alcohol today, but the sign said they will be selling alcohol again very soon. Breakfast burritos...
Read moreI love El Patron, but I'm beginning to like it less as time goes by. The price of the Carne Asada fries here was around $7 in 2012. A few years back El Patron raised the price by $1 and reduced the portion size slightly. This was understandable and was not that bad of a price increase. However, in the past two years the price was again raised from $8 to $11. That's about a 57% increase in price in nine years. Idk if the price increase is due to the increase of minimum wages or the wealthy new luxury apartment residents across the street, but they need to get their stuff together. For the mean time, I will continue to eat here as the Carne Asada fries are still insanely delicious, but if they continue down this path in the future they will lose a lot of business.
P.S. For anyone planning to park in the additional parking section to eat or pickup food from here just know that you won't be able to turn left from there anymore. You will have to go all the way south to Ross to do a U-turn. Mira Mesa city planners decided to replace the center turn lane with a giant...
