Haha fashion — Local services in San Diego

I came in on Friday, September 30th after classes around 5:00 p.m. with the intention of just looking around a bit and nothing more, but walked out with 3 plushies, a squishy, and a huge smile on my face.

I absolutely love this place and will definitely be coming back! There is such a wide range of different merch from Sanrio, Molang, Vocaloid, Pokemon, etc. Plushies, figures, clothes, stationary, accessories, and so much more! I left after about 10 minutes because I had to be home but honestly I could be in there for hours.

The place is clean, organized, and very cute! The owners were so nice and after noticing that I liked Molang, gave me a free Molang squishy! They know the names of all the characters and mascots they feature in their store, and you can tell that they really are passionate about everything "cute". They even hand-make some of the hairpins!

You may notice that other reviews note that the prices can range a bit item-to-item, but if you are aware of the struggle of importing goods from Korea/Japan, you know how expensive it can be so the prices are about what I expected. Also, upon my inspection, from what I could tell all of their items are 100% AUTHENTIC. You won't find low quality bootlegs here, which can be a struggle in other similar shops in the area. Actually, if you were to buy all these items, you'd likely have to go through at least 4 different online vendors, pay for shipping individually, and then wait at least a month for your items. So, I would totally say that buying it at Haha fashion is a better deal. Not to mention that all of these items are in one convenient place.

I would 100% say that if this store seems up your alley for cute/kawaii wares, it is among if not the best option to any alternatives in or near Mira Mesa. If you were to go to similar stores in Convoy, you'd not only have to deal with Convoy parking, but you would not be met with nearly the same amount of variety or warm hospitality. One of my fondest memories as a child was going to the Sanrio store every payday with my dad and getting a few cute things. Many asian american girls, especially in San Diego where we had a few to choose from, have the same memory. Sanrio was such a staple for myself and my other Asian peers. Kids now don’t get to experience this since the stores are only in LA now. But in comes HaHa Fashion. A small boutique filled with Sanrio and other cute items that gives you the same experience. Sanrio connoisseurs of all ages can experience the joy of looking around a little store for cute stationary, plush, and trinkets. I still enjoy Sanrio into my adulthood and it brings me joy seeing young girls in the store excited to buy their Hello Kitty items with their own money. It’s like seeing a flashback of my own childhood. While the new generation of Sanrio loving girls don’t get to experience what those who grew up in San Diego did at our multiple Sanrio stores, HaHa Fashion comes pretty close.

This store is owned by a mother and daughter and every single time the mother has so much excitement to see me. She is the sweetest and if her daughter is in the back she will call her over so her daughter can see me. I love this store and I encourage lovers of all things Kawaii to take the time to pay a visit. The customer service is top notch and it is evident these ladies value your business. Whether you’ve a collected Sanrio your whole life, a parent looking for a Sanrio gift for your child, or a child who loves Hello Kitty, this store is worth the time to check out. Whenever I walk around this type of area, I always have to come into this Amazing little Korean/K-pop store and ever since it had its grand opening I just knew I had to make another visit. I was greeted by the kind wonderful owner and always offers for a free mask every time I make her a visit . Therefore, when I went inside of her store I decided to purchase a BT21 shooky reusable bag for $10 which is kinda reasonable considering that it’s from Korea and just being mesmerized by the mini section of merchandise absolutely made my day. After she then sent us off with a kind farewell in her saying “come back again soon, Enjoy!” and from that saying then Yes I will be back for another great visit again soon. Definitely wishing her many blessings on her small business, hopefully it would attract more customers since I have to admit I recommend this place to others and it really does have amazing/quick...
