Go Go Sushi is a delightful little 'hole in the wall', with great sushi and ramen. We ate here last week and were pleasantly surprised. This sushi shop took the place of a Hungry Howies which was there for the longest time. When my friend suggested we have sushi there, I laughed because I couldn't believe that there was room in that tiny space for a restaurant. Well, they have magically transformed this tiny spot into a peaceful little Japanese oasis in a bustling grocery shopping mall. There was a huge selection of sushi and quite a number of ramen soups too. During the hour and a half we were there, there were no other sit-down clients, but a steady stream of people coming in for to-go orders.

We enjoyed miso soup and vegetable tempuira before our three sushi rolls arrived. Both were delicious. The tempura was hot and crispy and the veggies very fresh. Our sushi rolls were terrific. We had initially thought we would wind up taking some home, but it was all so good, we left none for a take out bag. We will definately return to this lovely little hole in the wall. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is that the decor is pretty basic. Pleasant, but basic. Otherwise, the food was...

GoGo has become my go-to when I'm exhausted after work and craving a sushi roll to make it better. My favorite is the Sunshine roll; one, because it's tasty, but also two, the name makes me happy because it reminds me of my dad. Their online ordering platform lets you customize the rolls. We also frequently make our own Ramen & Roll combo if we want something a little more filling.

I have no complaints about their timeliness. Orders come out fast or reasonable. I haven't met the other staff, but the miss in front is always polite and keeps herself busy putting orders together. Our to-go orders are always neatly packed. Dining room is quiet and tidy.

There is a ton of parking but it does share the lot with HMart so it can still be difficult to find parking during peak hours.

Lately, I've been dealing with a lot of burnout and GoGo has inadvertently become one of my "safe food" places because of their reliable quality, turnaround time, and...

Do NOT order food here if you have any dietary restrictions. We ordered ramen with specific instructions that we DID NOT WANT ANY MEAT (we are vegetarian) and we asked for a curry-based broth with no meat or pork broth. Instead of advising us that their curry broth is actually pork-based, they served us the pork based curry broth anyway despite our very specific, written instructions. We only found this out a few weeks AFTER we had the curry based veggie ramen and went back to order it and then a staff member finally told us their curry broth contains pork. It is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE and DISRESPECTFUL to improperly disclose ingredients when written instructions specify a dietary restriction. We are so disappointed and will never...

We came for a late lunch and it was pretty empty. They came to serve us quite quickly. :) We ordered: - bulgogi bento box: 4/5, the fried vegetables were crunchy, the miso soup was delicious, the california roll sushi was okay, and beef bulgogi was a bit too sweet - the tempura udon: 4/5, the noodle was cooked just perfectly soft and chewy, the broth was similar to a shiitake soup - the Tamago nigiri: 3/5, i like my sushi room temperature. the nigiri was very cold as if it just came out of the freezer. not my personal favorite. - the Rocking shrimp tempura roll: 3/5, the insides were falling apart. it wasn't as crunchy as I had expected. it just didn't seem very fresh. Overall, the food was okay. Everything was inexpensive.

This restaurant is a small and therefore has all the set backs and benefits of a small enterprise. Due to its size, the service here is slower compared to its larger counterparts; however, the wait staff is enjoyable and as attentive as they can be. The interior is small so very large parties may have some difficulties, but there are good amount of seats for the average 4 member party. The food is good and decently priced, but as with any restaurant that doesn t specialize in just one kind of dish, the food doesn t have a distinct taste. If you're looking for decent priced good Japanese food (not Korean, little to no selection for Korean food) in Mira Mesa, this would be a good place to put on the list.

I went to Go Go Sushi and Ramen for an early lunch, the food was not bad but not great. The tuna sashimi was chewy and had veins in it, and was containing a lack of freshness. The Unagi Don was above average, the sweetness of the teriyaki sauce and the saltiness of the eel was delicious. The Tonkotsu Ramen was above average, the broth was fulfilling and rich, and the noodles were cooked well. The Chasiu/ BBQ pork was tender, but the one downside was that the egg was cooked through, when it should be runny and smooth. The Bulgogi Tofu was mediocre, since the tofu was smooth.
