The quality of shaved ice is bad, very granular and melts very fast. One would expect the quality of shaved ice to be immaculate when they charge over $11 for it. We were a quarter way through when the ice and all the content has mixed all together and turned into an unappetizing soup of various sweet ingredients. When I complained to one of the workers behind the counter about it, they just offered to add more ice into the bowl. That’s right, adding more ice into a liquid soup of mixed ingredients was their solution to the problem. Disappointed with the answer, I asked for a refund. The shift lead refunded me the money, but then decided to lecture me, by saying that we ate most of the desert and need to ask for a refund right away. Not sure how we could have asked for the refund away, without giving it a go, but ice was melting right in front of ours eyes as we’ve started to sample it. The ironic part was that we didn’t eat most of it, it has just all melted within 5 minutes and looked all liquid. First, the proper way to address the problem would have been to offer a replacement for the item, either the same or something different. Second, lecturing a customer over why and when we should have asked for the refund was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. So much so, that I have decided to leave the cash for the credit card refund with the shift lead. A customer complaining over an $11 item is a matter of principle and a professionally trained stuff would have dealt with it differently. Worst Meet Fresh among all locations I’ve been to in Canada, Asian and the U.S. This place is severely understaffed. 1⃣️ordering: no staff took orders and you can only use the kiosk to order. But BE CAREFUL! I was asked to put in my phone number to receive notification when the order is ready and I received a welcome email 🙃Okay I don’t expect to give away my personal information just for ordering dessert. And I was told the egg waffle is out of stock. 2⃣️Horrible service: we waited more than 15 mins for our order and when we finally revealed it, it was a mess. One wrong item from someone else order. One missing item. I paid extra money to add taro as topping for my shaved ice and they forgot. 3⃣️Environment: No napkins and hand towels at this location. (And when the staff told me this he even didn’t say a single sorry…maybe he is too busy to care about customer experience) Can you believe it??? A restaurant without napkins??? Are you serious?? We switched several tables and all of them are dirty. No staff had time cleaning them. The restroom is also very untidy. We came around 9 in a weekday evening(July 26th) so it wasn’t even peak time. I cannot imagine what things look like here during weekend. If you are the owner, please please consider hiring more people. Great place for warm or cold Taiwanese desserts! Customer service was just okay. Lots of teens/20-somethings not acting super professional but still pleasant enough (for example, not immediately acknowledging customers until finishing private convos). Menu is similar to most asian desserts consisting of shaved ice, sweet beans, mochi, custards/puddings, tapioca/boba tea -type stuff . Seemed super crowded as line was wrapped around outside, but had zero trouble finding seating when it was our turn. They do offer to-go as well. Portions are MONSTROUS so plan on sharing between 2-3 people at least. We got shaved ice with various beans, mochi, puddings and ice cream and the 3 of us were stuffed! Took about 10 min to receive our order but didn't mind waiting for what we got. We'll likely be back when the craving hits!

Edit: tried this place again for a second time and customer service seemed on point even with a big pm crowd. Noticed everyone , especially cashier, was very helpful and professional. Tried their warm, soupy dessert and it was nice for a cold day, but I like the shave ice a lot better. I also discovered I'm addicted to their mochi and custard! Yum!! My only criticism now is i wish the menus had better descriptions because in the photos they really look very similar and it holds up the line having cashier...
