This place is so cute and well thought out. It’s one of the places where you order and pay up front then sit.
It has the self-serve pour station where you get charged by the measures. Same factors as most places however you pre-pay for the drink card and it expires by the end of the night. You do not get a refund if you still have cash on there, but if you run low, you can always load more. I do wish they had the option where you get charged when you’re done while they hold onto your credit card as collateral. I feel that people would drink more. We only put $20 and each my pours were like $1.17 unless you get a cup size which can be up to $7.
This concept is perfect for someone like me who doesn’t drink much and only like ciders and sweets. I tried the first two ciders from the far right end and only the first one was my favorite called, Marlin Spike Cider by Bicouac Ciderworks. Very fruity and light. I love that they have the tap tissue paper that you use to not touch the handles due to corona germs.
With a party of 4, it felt like we ordered from around the world!
Braised brisket poutine – This was yummy. The shoe string fries was one of the best.
Belgian beer steamed mussels – I’ve been to Belgium and it wasn’t the same. I wish the broth had more flavor, it was bland and I would love to have dipped my bread to soak up all the broth.
Korean Gochujang baby back ribs – Hands down, our favorite! Must get! Very flavorful and the meat falls right off the bones.
Shrimp flat bread – fried shrimp with truffle tratuffo cheese and spicy cardamon sauce – This was our least favorite. At first, shrimp sounded different but it was just panko coated fried shrimp on top of a flatbread. Very simple. I’m not into the tratuffo cheese, it had a robust aroma and reminded me of goat cheese.
Cali Craft Taco trio – shrimp/ Korean chicken bbq/ braised beef – The shrimp was our favorite. All were juicy and flavorful.
Beyond meat Korean taco trio – Delicious. I love that they offer non-meat options.
The owner, Othman was very helpful from beginning to end. He greeted us, showed us how to pour an checked on us the entire time. We chatted a little about his food inspirations and the restaurant before this was also his. I’m glad he changed it with the trend.
Hidden craft also serves brunch and we are returning to try the menu. Stay tune for an...
Read moreAugust 23rd. Around 2:30 PM entered. Unknown what time left. Was with a friend and her dad (my friend and I are Autistic so it's better to have another adult with us).
The female behind the counter was making remarks about how she didn't want to be there that day. I heard "day off" in one statement. No smile, was unhappy. First thing I noticed. Throughout the time, seemed like she didn't want to be there that day. Not sure if she had personal issues going on. Hopefully if anything is going on it improves.
A male working with this female was occasionally walking to a TV and yelling Spanish at it. Seemed unprofessional.
The pasta I had was a bit al dente. Cooked more would be nice. It was full of cheese in the pasta shells. Very little chicken and bacon. Barely any sundried tomatoes. It was all on one side. This is preference, but my opinion was it was too much sauce. The bread (apparently) was completely burnt and blackened, so I did not touch that. More parmesan cheese would be nice on top. I could not finish it.
The female behind the counter stated there would be some sort of coffee available at some point, and there is lost business because there is no coffee (at time of writing). This place is right next to a major tram station too. Quite unfortunate.
Overall, service was great, food was okay, and I hope if anything is going on in her life things do get better. Throughout the whole times, there was various signs she did not want to be there. Rather than bad attitude, it seemed like she just had other...
Read moreFirst time here! Excellent place to be! Fridays and Saturdays there's a band. Today performed The New Orleans Swinging Gypsies and it was super fun. While enjoying beautiful swing music, the integration of your senses with the food and the drinks make the combination a very enyojable experience. I tried as a entree the Brussel sprouts, that are one of my favorites as entrees, I must say they're ok, but not the best I've tried. Following my husband and I tried the Mc and cheese with Gouda, that it's a great idea to transform a very regular plate to a somewhat gourmet idea. And definitely I will try again the Fig Jam Flat bread. It was delicious the mixed of a good quality prosciutto with balanced cooked pears, arugula and the fig jam took me to the living the good life while listening the band and having the sips of the drink of your very choice! That is what happens at this place, you choose what you wanna drink and the amount. It's kind of the same system as the ice creams places where all the flavours taste the same, you serve all the flavours you want I your wished amount as well as the toppings. This was a different and to-repeat experience. I'm a stout person so I tried all dark, dark ale, stout beers. Other than dark I love the cali creamin' it really taste creamy and you have the vanilla flavour there. All beers where excellent and I'm posting all the ones that I tried. I highly recommend this place and for sure I will visit...
