I came here the evening of 7/31 after being out with friends. I came alone and was excited to try a new Mediterranean spot that was open late.

At first everything seemed normal. I went to the back of the restaurant where the workers congregated and ordered. I paid in advance of my food arriving which was a little unexpected for a in-dining experience but I went with it.

I was told to sit anywhere.

My appetizer came and when it did I asked water and was brought a bottle. The server did not return to check in on me. Over 45 minutes passed and I still had not been checked on or receive my main entree.

I went to the back of the restaurant again and mentioned that my food still had not arrived. The server went to check on the food and said that there was a mixup and another server gave my food to another table and proceeded to comp my meal and my coke.

I appreciated the gesture and planned to still tip my server because it was not his fault.

However, the food took another 20+ minutes and no one checked in on me. When my food finally came I asked for more water and a napkin. Though my server acknowledged my request, he never gave me either nor did anyone check in with me again. I left without speaking to anyone.

This is the first time since I was in my teens where I felt blatantly disrespected and ignored.

Albeit the server could’ve just been extra lazy yet I felt that I was the only one who was not receiving any service.

Food was delicious but that doesn’t change that the service was poor.

I’ll carry out in the future. Reasonably...

Sure, here's the revised review for Maestro Lounge:

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Maestro Lounge, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, Khaled and Destiny made us feel incredibly welcome with their warm smiles and genuine hospitality.

Khaled was our server for the evening, and his attention to detail and knowledge of the menu were impressive. He took the time to recommend dishes based on our preferences and even shared the story behind some of the restaurant's signature dishes. His enthusiasm was contagious, and it was clear he loves what he does.

Destiny, the manager, also came by our table to check on us, and her passion for providing exceptional customer service was evident. She ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect, from the ambiance to the timing of our courses.

The food was absolutely divine! We started with the appetizers recommended by Khaled, and they were a perfect introduction to the restaurant's culinary style. The main courses were cooked to perfection, and the flavors were out of this world. We could tell that the ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality.

Overall, our evening at Maestro Lounge was made special by the wonderful team, especially Khaled and Destiny. Their dedication to creating a memorable dining experience is truly commendable. We can't wait to return and enjoy more of their exceptional hospitality and...

I’ve been visiting my family / friends in San Diego for the past two months, and during this time I discovered a true gem downtown: Maestro. The name truly fits the experience—it’s like everything here is orchestrated to perfection.

The Mediterranean food is simply outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. No one can argue with the quality. But what truly makes Maestro special is not just the food, it’s the people.

Over the past two months, I’ve dined here nearly nine times, and each visit has been memorable thanks to the incredible staff. Ayub, Khalid, Ghada, Amina, and the newest team member, Sarah, are some of the best in the business. They embody professionalism while showing genuine kindness. Their warm smiles are never forced, and they always check in to make sure everything is just right—without ever making you feel rushed. You can tell they truly enjoy what they do.

And then there’s Manny, the hookah master. He’s a professional through and through, always preparing it exactly how you like it. A wonderful human being who adds to the whole experience.

If you’re ever in San Diego, do not miss the chance to visit Maestro. Come for the exquisite Mediterranean food, stay for the atmosphere, and leave remembering the people who make this place truly...

Went into this previously unknown place for a quick bite between jobs. The server didn't seem to know the menu and had no recommendations. A guest sitting nearby suggested a shawarma wrap which sounded good but the server couldn't find it on the menu. I ordered a chicken salad and mango shake. The salad came out quickly. People at the next table starts smoking a hookah. I did not know that this was a hookah lounge, but now I do. Normally I can't stand the smell of tobacco, but this wasn't bad; must have had some exotic flavor. The server returned to my table to ask what flavor shake I wanted (probably her first day) and didn't seem to know how to make the shake. She needed a lot of help from other employees, and possibly the manager. After taking almost 15 minutes to make it, she returned again to ask if I wanted whipped cream on top. The shake finally arrived as I was finishing the salad. By the time I finished the shake, my server's shift was over. I had to ask someone else for the check. When the check arrived, it showed the shake costs $24.99! Of course I disputed that amount and it took two or three people to fix it. Apparently that is the cost of the mango hookah. The music droned on constantly with the same techno-garbage, no matter which song it was. I won't be back.

I’ve been coming to this place for over 15 yrs , folks here are very friendly and they take great care of you, food is great and has a home cooked meal feel to it, my hookah always been great as I have my own since I smoke regularly but I must say since Haytham started working here during the day , I’ve noticed a big change specially in qualified the hookah, he cares and knows a lot about making a good hookah as believe it or not, there is a art and science that goes behind it to make sure it’s balanced and smokes well. I highly recommend asking for him and letting him to make you a special hookah! Thank you very much Haythem and hope you never leave!!!
