Came here with a few friends and was hoping for some quick friendly service but left unsatisfied. We got there at about 5:50pm not knowing there was a happy but happy to see it on the sign to get some good deals! The place was pretty dead, quite a few waiters walking around doing nothing and only 2 MAYBE 3 other tables with just a few people at each table, great we'll get quick service. Someone didn't come to take our order until 5:58PM and we were told by Alberto if we wanted to order Happy Hour to hurry because we have 2 minutes. I appreciate the heads up but also a little confused as to why it took 8 minutes for someone to come help us when they weren't helping any other tables? No worries, lets get our stuff ordered. My friend ordered jalapeno poppers but Alberto said we couldn't anymore because, "The button keeps disappearing" off the handheld machine? Never heard of that before. Fast forward, our food and drinks come out pretty quickly, all the runners were friendly who brought our stuff out and the drinks were really good, no complaints on the drinks whatsoever. I think he came to check us once and every other time were random people coming to ask if we were done with dishes/if we needed anything. We saw more of other waiters/runners than we did of our guy. At one point my friend asked him for a glass of water and he said okay, walked quite a few steps away, then walked back to say he was going on his break and someone else would get it for her?? We felt rushed to finish our food/drinks because they kept coming by to ask if we were done (we were still working on the food) and then finally were like fine whatever lets just go (there were now maybe 7 tables with guests, so still pretty dead). It took sooooo long for anyone to come offer us a check so we had to ask 2 different workers to call our waiter for the check. He walked by a few times but then finally we called him over. He showed us the machine to pay and seemed irritated but I asked if we could please split the bill for what people bought and he said no only by amount we want to pay. So we said that's fine but can we see the screen so we can split it. He handed it to me and while I was looking at it on the middle of the table (it hadn't even been 30 seconds yet) he reaches over, grabs it back, and says he'll be back he has to go take care of a different table. Like what??? A few minutes later he drops a paper receipt off and then disappears for awhile. He kept passing our table without looking at us, and finally after about 10-15 minutes he passes by again and I shouted his name from about 3 tables over. That's when he finally came over and clearly with an attitude asked if we were ready and showed us the machine. My friend decided to just pay it all with her card because we were so taken aback by the poor service. So to bring it all back, -Good prices for happy hour -Decent music -Tasty drinks -Alberto is rude and has horrible customer service. I don't know how you can be so inattentive when you're working 3 tables. Customer service is what brought down this score,...

We live downtown and after times of passing by thought to give it a try today 2/12 around 2pm. We were sat right away. Server came and told us where to scan for the menu. After looking at the menu and seeing the happy hour we decided to order chips and guacamole and some tacos with some drinks. Everything came out ok. We were never offered any water but the server asked us if we need water for our service dogs and we said that would be nice. We finished our drinks and food and never received water . Asked for the check and the bill look funky, asked her why the prices don't match the happy hour menu and she said you didn't tell me you are ordering from happy hour menu. We showed her on the menu and happy hr pricing and she said we need to tell her it is from happy hour menu. We went back and forth and didn't get anywhere then she made the comment of it's only $3 more. We just paid and got up. On my way out i walked to the section and asked someone who seemed to be in charge if she is the manager and she said yes. I explained the situation that we ordering the food and they are advertising happy hrs which it should be affecting the order and pricing. She said we need to say we are ordering happy hrs items and made a similar Comment of being only few dollars more. I told her it is not the price and few dollars won't effect me in any way but its the principal of being scammed. Told her as a manager she is very rude handling the situation and speaking to a customer and will write a review to help others out visiting this place. As a local i would never visit and spend any money here. Recommend everyone to Watch their bill here. They are doing false advertisement and charging what...
Read moreSo we had such a great experience at King and Queen SD little Italy. I told my husband let’s try out again the new location in Gaslamp district. From the moment we walked in it was a very different vibe. You could tell they were not as organized. We were seated right away. As soon as we sat down there was this large stationary tray at the top of our table. It made it difficult to talk to my husband who sat across from me. We ordered drinks. They were ok. My husband went to put his drink down. Well his glass hit the the awkward tray in the middle of table and broke the glass with by then our tacos had came out. A piece of glass was visibly broken. We didn’t know if fell in the drink , and tacos. So of course we explained what just had happened to our server. We said we would like new drink and tacos due to we did not want to eat nor swallow a piece of glass that had just broken from the drink we try to set down. Like any one would have done. The staff looked a little everywhere. You can tell they rushed opening of that location. We asked for water. They said they only had bottled water to sell us for $4 each. Due to their water being “ not good” I then see a server bring jar glasses of water to the table behind us. If water not good you would think they would bring in drinking water from water company who provides drinkable water for their customers. We do it at home. When time to check out. They charged us for the drink that broke. Plus the tacos we had to send back cuz we did not want to risk eating glass. We asked to speak to manager Ramses. He was very unprofessional. And did not care about our experience. He was not customer service friendly. We spent almost $300. For 2 pple. Drinks and tacos. It’s not about the $$$ it is ALL About the SERVICE!!!! We will NOT be returning to gas lamp. They need lots more training over there!!!
We will continue to support Josh at King and Queens SD. We truthfully go there for HIS...
