The Keating — Hotel in San Diego

The Keating hotel is a phenomenal location. The rates are fantastic, the staff is friendly, check-in and check-out is a breeze. The superior king suites are… a bit of an unusual layout, but I think that’s a partly a result of the building being constructed in 1890.

I’ve never had any sense of smell, but a friend who came by and visited described the hallways as smelling “antique” - as one might expect of a structure of this age.

If you’re used to urban areas, the room is plenty quiet - but being in an urban area, this sort of “quiet” may not be what some are used to, especially if you spend more time in rural areas.

I absolutely plan to stay again. It’s in a great location, and though the views may be a bit lacking compared to locations more beachfront, everything else more than makes up for it. Tons of great restaurants and bars within 1-2 blocks, and tons of attractions within a mile.

Of note: I prefer to keep spaces darker than most. I’m particularly sensitive to light. As such, most of the lights in my pictures...

My experience at At Mine was exceptional. The staff was remarkably attentive and professional, making me feel well cared for throughout my stay. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully appointed with everything I needed. I appreciated the added peace of mind with security personnel stationed at the entrance from 10 pm to 5 am. The amenities were also quite convenient. I made use of their microwaves, which was a nice touch. A special mention goes to the front desk gentleman Oscar, who went above and beyond by assisting me with printing important business documents, a gesture that proved invaluable during my trip.
