We drove all the way down from Lake Elsinore just to eat here! My husband is originally from Seattle, and he loves Qdoba (where there are a ton of locations). We didn't realize there was one in San Diego (up until now, we have only been able to enjoy it when we traveled to Las Vegas), and we're excited to try it out. And it was delicious! Just like the ones back up in Seattle. This location is very clean with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a walk-up window that might be for pick up or mobile orders, which helps to keep the restaurant less crowded with people just standing around waiting for orders. There is a mix of booths, tables, and bar table height seating. This location does have a freestyle machine (for those that like unlimited drink options). The staff was very friendly. My son uses a knee crutch since he twisted his ankle but had no issues navigating around the restaurant. We don't know the area too well, but it appears that this location is right next to some train station, so it should be easy to get to with or without a car. Parking is similar to any shopping center area and so parking is plentiful, and getting in and out of the area is also pretty simple. The food is amazing! The picture is one of their bowls, and I also tried the tortilla soup during this visit. Very good! Will order again! They also offer a full menu of tacos, burritos, bowls, and more. It is all a sort of build yourself set up (subway style), so you always know what you are getting. The chips and queso are also a very good addition to any meal (they are a large sharable size so one could be enough for your whole table). They do have a kids menu, and our 5 year old enjoyed his quesadilla, with applesauce and milk. Whenever we are in the area, we will definitely be stopping by for a...
Read moreI came here with my wife on 03/27/21 to grab food before heading to Ocean Beach. We did pay for extra steak and didn't get it. I guess the manager on duty, made the line nervous because my server was sprinkling the ingredients that we asked for and looked scared to ask for more when he ran out of provisions. I recieved 10 lettuce strip...10 on my bowl (I counted them) I asked and paid for double steak and didn't receive it on mine nor my wife's bowlowl. When I visit Denver Colorado to see my in-laws, I have painless visits to Qdoba out there. However in San Diego CA, my home, this is the second time this month my money was wasted with no response from the company or owner. EVEN after I took thieir survey as well for this months earlier bad experience with the rice. This time at least the cilantro rice wasn't crunchy like cereal or burnt bacon. Tossed half my bowl out that time. Idk if I can go here again I might just start going back to El Pollo Loco or chipotle, for their bowls instead. The RESTAURANT JUST OPENED!!! how are things like this happening??? Quality and customer service is not what appears to be on this companies mindset... at least not in San Diego CA anyway. It seems other natives on here agree as well. If you wanna be successful here you gotta bring it Qdoba, if not... ill find a new place for my appetite, money, and most important my time! And yall will close up before making q lasting impression on our city for healthy choices and...
Read moreWe stopped at Qdoba looking for some quick reasonable Mexican food after having shopped at the Best Buy located in the same shopping center in Mission Valley. It was our first visit and there was only one other customer in the restaurant when we arrived in the afternoon. It’s located right next to Sammy’s and there’s plenty of parking. The employee provided excellent service and took their time explaining the menu as they filled our dishes with ample ingredients and salsas. We ordered street tacos, a burrito and a free chips and queso from joining their rewards. They give you a large bag of chips with the queso but we found the cheese to be somewhat tasteless and bland. It was a bit disappointing. My partner said the street tacos were good and they would order them again. The burrito was absolutely stuffed with ingredients which made it a little hard to eat but it was really tasty. All of the ingredients were fresh - there just wasn’t much spice to be found, even with the habanero salsa. That’s the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. We were super hungry and forgot to take pics...
