Extremely disappointed with my experience here last night. My husband(active duty service member) and I decide to go celebrate Veterans Day with our 1 yr old here. We’ve passed several times and always thought the food looked so good from the window and never got a chance to sit and eat until last night. We were sat and ordered some apps with our initial server. We got the buffalo wings and nachos. I made sure to be very clear with the server, absolutely nothing spicy on the nachos as we would be sharing with our 1yr old. I said “no jalapeños, no chiles, no spicy sauces” and even said if there’s anything else spicy on there please remove it. He brought us our drinks and brought a second server who would be taking over for him as he had to leave for the night. A runner brought out our nachos .. guess what ? Extra jalapeños! I get it mistakes happen, I specified to her that our order was incorrect and to please remake our order. I specifically said don’t just pick them out remake it please. We will be sharing with our son and I can’t risk it. She said no problem and walked away. She returned about 3 mins later and said here you go. I asked you guys remade them ? You didn’t just pick off the jalapeños right ?! And she said yup remade them! And walked away. At that very moment our new server walked up to the table, I was observing the nachos and immediately noticed they indeed did not make a new order. THERE WAS STILL SOME JALAPEÑOS ON THE ORDER. I turned to the server and said m’am, this order was not remade. There’s still jalapeños in here. She apologized and took the order. I specified to her again, please remake the order, we have no problem waiting. She stated she would put in another order and she was sorry. The manager passed by at this point and I explained my frustration. He also apologized and said he would fix it but seemed so annoyed that I was frustrated. Go figure. About 5 minutes later she returns with the nachos. At first glance everything seemed fine and we began to eat. I observed every single individual chip before I handed it to my son just in case. As we’re eating guess what ? I eat a goddam Jalapeño. I start digging through the middle and find some more small pieces. I was livid. I don’t understand why they did this. They removed the top layer of the nachos added some fresh chips and chopped tomato barely any beans and cheese and sent the nachos back out. What’s so hard about remaking the order to prevent a 1 yr old from eating a jalapeño?! I didn’t say anything again because at this point I just wanted to leave. We had already put in our main dishes so we decided to stay. I requested my chicken sandwich no cumin or chile seasoning and it was still in my sandwich. I was so annoyed. The server could tell and offered a free dessert on the house but neither of us wanted it. At that point I was just hurt that my son was not taken into consideration at all. They comped the apps but our feelings remain the same. We definitely will not be returning here and will not be recommending it to friends and family as they were not careful. All I kept thinking about was what if something was allergic to jalapeños? They could of really hurt someone. Food and safety is not something to be played around with. You mess up? Apologize and remake it. Don’t just sit there picking things off a dish and sending...
Read moreIf I could give a zero- I would!!! The most horrible experience in my life! Me and my husband went to have dinner at this restaurant yesterday, August 11th. My husband had been in YH many times and loved it. So we went to one that located in Carlsbad. We just got our table, ordered drinks and appetizers and I went to wash my hands. The moment I came closer to the bathroom I smelled something horrible, like old urine 🤢 There was a lot of water on the floor in the hallway in front of bathrooms entrance (I’m saying a lot of water but what i mean is that entire floor was covered with water and you could see just a few dry spots). Also there were 2 signs: wet floor. Nobody around and a wooden mop in the corner. I thought maybe woman’s bathroom was in a process of cleaning and cleaning lady spilled a bucket of water on the floor and went somewhere. So wasn’t sure can I and if I can -how to walk inside and wash my hands. At this moment another lady came to the bathroom, saw the floor and said: I think it’s ok, it’s not closed. She went to the bathroom, I opened the water to wash my hands and I hear that lady is flushing the toilet. The second she did it water from the drain hole on the floor began to rise up, touching my feet. I was in shock!!! I realized that it was not just a water on the floor, it was sewerage!!! And I’m wearing sandals and I’m standing in this!!!! 🙈🤢🤢🤢 I even didn’t finish washing my hands I walks to our table, told my husband I’ll be back and went yo out parked car to get some antibacterial wipes we had. I came back to the table and told my husband what happened. At this moment our waitress came with our drinks and my husband said: just you to know, in women’s bathroom…and she didn’t let him finish, she said: I know. And walked away. That’s it. He asked for the manager. When manager came, we told him east happened and manager said he have decided not to close bathrooms and he knows and he’s sorry. And we don’t t need to pay for our drinks. We didn’t worry about paying, I was worried about my health and what a crazy decision manager makes: just put a sign Wet floor and not close bathrooms, not warning people that there’s sewerage on the floor!! And manager was wearing a mask, that made me feel even worse. Horrible, horrible, horrible!!! I couldn’t believe this is happening in real life! Would never go back to this place!! Yes, I couldn’t even imagine to sit in our car in my shoes anymore! We came to the car, I put antibacterial wipes on the ground, wiped my shoes first, took them off and wiped my feet. Have anybody ever had to do it after dinner at the restaurant?????!!!!...

I've heard a lot of great things about Yard House and saw an opportunity to take the family. Experienced a first in our life... A clean-sweep of failure on food. Normally we have at least one winner in any given outing.
We did not say anything at the time or ask for replacements... the food was prepared well and we got what we ordered, we simply didn't like it.
The atmosphere is great... for watching a game or getting a beer with friends, So/So for a family of 4. The A/C works... We were too cold... bring a hoody, my son tried to crawl into my armpit trying to keep warm. While they had a paper games "menu" and crayons for the kids, there wasn't actually a kids menu printed on it and we didn't know one existed until we started playing with the tablet checkout screen thing on the table.
The wait staff was friendly and responsive.
We ordered the giant pretzel thing with beer cheese... a sure thing for my family... The pretzel was ok but my wife and daughter complained about a certain "Chalkiness" with the beer cheese. I'm not a connoisseur and didn't really notice, but was by no means blown away and stuck to the mustard.
My son loves pizza... I mean loves it to the point that he'd eat it every day in pretty much any incarnation you may expect... he left the whole pie on the plate minus 2 or three bites of the first slice.
My Daughter is the same way about mac and cheese, she made it about 4 bites in before she gave it up for a lost cause.
My wife got a chicken bowl which was so spicy (no modifications) that she was almost in tears... (her fault for trying to power through?)
For myself, I got the fish and chips based on waiters recommendation... the fries were tasty and well-prepared. The fish was crispy but had a (very) fait burn taste to the batter. I ended up breaking it up and just eating the fish out from the inside... left to my own, I would probably give it a 3.
We paid and rolled as quickly as we could and swung through McDonalds for...
