Sister's pizza is our favorite restaurant in San Diego! In addition to the delicious variety of East Coast style pizzas, as well as pastas, soups, salads, sandwiches, appetizers and dessert, Sisters has a great beer & wine list. Emily, the kind & caring owner, is a true pillar in the community. She & the Sisters team give back in so many ways, and fight for vital causes. The mantra of Kindness for Kate (Emily's late sister) is exemplified day in and day out by the Sisters crew. The staff are all genuinely welcoming, and they reflect a servant leader who isn't 'above' any role in the restaurant. The already-lovely Sisters patio has been a welcome respite during the pandemic. They pivoted quickly to expand it for more safe outdoor areas for guests. I could go on and on about our favorite slices, Capt'n Trevor's fish & chips (my Lenten Friday nights on the patio start with that dish), how you should try the unlisted 'Greg style meatball' (best thing to come out of a deep fryer!), the fabulous Ranch dressing (which is tasty when carefully poured into the 'pepperoni cups' on the slice of Pepperoni Patty pie), and that Saturdays are better when Sisters hosts their Epicurean Artisanal Market, but what it really boils down to is the amazing legacy that Emily's sister Kate inspired. Visit Sisters Pizza. You'll be better for it!

Honestly...was this the most delicious pizza I have ever had, no. BUT I would go back to Sisters Pizza because you just feel the love that goes into running this place. There is much more than pizza on the menu. I must go back to try their salads, subs and pastas. The friendly service alone, will keep me going back for more. Service was just excellent, decor absolutely adorable (they have pictures of sisters up on the wall), clean environment plus an outside sitting area. This place can be easily missed because it's not in the middle of Hillcrest, it's more in a residential area, away from the hustle. It has been opened up since June 2019 and I really hope they stick around for many years to come. This is a kind of quick bite place, you take out of town guest to.

This pizza is only decent. I saw a comment about this being the best NY style pizza in San Diego and I’d say that’s very inaccurate. This pizza is good for maybe the rest of the 48 states but it’s definitely not the quality I’d expect in NY and NJ - it’s not even thin enough to be in the same category. It’s similar to Mr. Moto I’d say in terms of crust and maybe sauce, but I haven’t had that in awhile. This is more of a 3.5 star pizza but you can’t leave that review, and it’s not a 3 since it’s not bad for San Diego. I also can’t speak to the dine-in experience since I picked up but the restaurant itself looks really nice and has a good atmosphere. I would probably like to come here with friends and eat a pie.

Prepare to embark on a quest for the best pizza you've ever tasted! Nestled in the heart of Hillcrest, Sisters Pizza is a family-run pizzeria that promises an unforgettable dining experience that'll leave you craving more.

Tucked away in a small, unassuming venue, Sisters Pizza might not catch your eye at first glance. But trust me, this hidden gem is worth seeking out. I stumbled upon this pizzeria after a glowing recommendation from a local on the street, and boy, was he spot on!

The moment you walk through the door, you'll be welcomed by the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked pizzas that instantly whets your appetite. The family-run atmosphere adds a touch of cosiness and authenticity, making you feel like you've stepped into an Italian family's home kitchen.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the pizza itself. Oh, my taste buds were taken on a journey they'll never forget! Each slice is a heavenly combination of mouth-watering flavours that dance on your palate. From the perfectly seasoned sauce to the delectable cheese and an array of fresh toppings, every bite is pure bliss.

One of the things that sets Sisters Pizza apart is its late-night availability. Craving a slice after a night out in Hillcrest? No problem! The pizzeria stays open late, catering to both the early birds and the night owls.

Behind the scenes, there's a fascinating back story that adds a layer of intrigue to the whole experience. Learning about the origins and the passion that goes into creating these pizzas makes the dining experience even more enjoyable.

While the venue is on the smaller side, it only adds to the charm of Sisters Pizza. The cosy atmosphere encourages intimate conversations and a sense of camaraderie with fellow pizza enthusiasts.

In conclusion, Sisters Pizza in Hillcrest is the epitome of pizza perfection. From the incredible flavours to the family-run ambiance, every element comes together harmoniously to create an exceptional dining experience. If you're a true pizza aficionado, this hidden gem is a must-visit destination that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on your taste buds. Seek it out, and you'll thank yourself for uncovering this pizza treasure in the heart...

A friend of mine was visiting from out of town and expressed interest in going to Little Italy for pizza. I mentioned that there was a well-rated place within walking distance, so we decided to call in an order to-go, since it would likely be busy. Upon arrival, we learned they had not been able to start our pizza yet due to an unexpected staffing issue (and being quite busy, as usual), so they offered us a free drink of choice while we waited, which was nice. We sat out on the patio enjoying the cooler post-sunset weather, and complimentary chilled white wine, since it had been such a hot weekend. Then, when the pizza arrived, I noticed they had forgotten the extra topping I requested (jalapeño on the Don Ho) and asked if we could get it on the side. They quickly provided more than what would have been on the pizza, which I said was perfect. Moments later, one of the staff walked out to apologize for messing up the order after already being late, and said they were refunding the entire check! My friend and I were blown away by this unexpected and unnecessary gesture - we had only waited maybe another 15 minutes for our pizza after the promised time, and the free drinks had been enough to demonstrate their dedication to customer satisfaction. This was my first time here, but will not be my last - not only was the pizza delicious, but they went above and beyond to take care of us. I now truly understand why there are so already many great reviews...

The cheese pizza at Sister Pizza in San Diego offers a delightful culinary experience reminiscent of authentic New York-style pizza. With its thin, crispy crust and generous layer of gooey, melted cheese, each bite delivers a burst of flavor that transports you to the bustling streets of the Big Apple. The simplicity of the cheese pizza allows the quality of the ingredients to shine through, from the tangy tomato sauce to the perfectly melted mozzarella cheese.

While some may argue that it's challenging to replicate the true essence of New York pizza outside of the city itself, Sister Pizza comes remarkably close. The attention to detail in crafting the crust, the balance of flavors in the sauce, and the overall texture of the pizza evoke the nostalgic charm of classic New York slices. Whether you're a native New Yorker craving a taste of home or a pizza aficionado seeking an authentic culinary experience, Sister Pizza's cheese pizza is sure to satisfy your cravings.

In addition to its delicious flavor, Sister Pizza's commitment to using high-quality, fresh ingredients sets it apart. Each slice is made with care, ensuring that every bite is packed with flavor and authenticity. From the first bite to the last, Sister Pizza's cheese pizza is a delightful indulgence that will leave you craving more and eagerly planning...
