The Guild Bar inside the Guild hotel is directly before you as you enter the hotel. They have bar seating and a few tables. Everything is at bar height, which for most may not be an issue but for us shorter people getting up on those chairs can be challenging. Once you conquer that... the service leaves something to be desired. Being that the bar wasn't very busy I can't equate the service to stress... the servers each night & during multiple visits just didn't seem to be particularly interested in providing great customer service.... it was the bare minimum. On the last day as we were checking out we decided to get a bite before leaving ... this particular server was obviously not happy to be at work. As a co-worker came over to him, our server stated. "I don't want to be here" The other person said "I appreciate your honesty" and walked away. Good thing the food is pretty spot on! The flavour profiles.. the presentation... it was all outstanding. The truffle fries were the gold star winners... How delicious are they... probably could have had buckets of those fries! The food & drink at this wee hotel bar was pretty outstanding... the service needs a whole...

In the evening, I had the chance to grab a few drinks. The bartending staff is super friendly and makes great drinks. This full bar gets busy during the mid-evening, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere.
Overall, my experience at The Guild bar was fantastic. It is highly recommended, especially if you are staying...

Felt more like eating steak with poutine and crushed soggy salad rather than fries and greens. Crab cakes came fried without indication of being fried on the menu. That is a major thing that should be mentioned as you don’t expect crab cakes that way. Portions are healthy size for the price and no complaints on service. Seating was weird with some tables having seats at different heights. Service was acceptable but not great, didn’t have any issues that others seem to.
Cocktails get an A for creativity and presentation and a C for execution and taste.
Fine if you don’t want to leave the hotel for dinner but would not...
