Winstons Beach Club — Restaurant in San Diego

For as long as I have been in San Diego, I have done everything in the nightclub promotion and hospitality industry. Winstons in Ocean Beach and El Cajon, has always been a major part of that, because they truly know not only good talent, but, is one of the few places left in the whole area that still believes in giving local talent a chance to get their 15 minutes of fame so to speak.

If you are in town for a vacation, spring break, or whatever reason, I suggest you stop in, have a beer from the many selections on tap, check out the live music, and enjoy yourself to the fullest. The photos I shared with my review is just what I'm talking about. My good friend RICE is the base player for an up and coming local banh named, "UNITY", performed this past Saturday at the Ocean Beach location, and it was a great show ever. Rice and I performed together back in the late 90's , early 2000's. And those were just jam sessions.

My Point being, Winstons in Ocean Beach is a great way to enjoy your evening if you are looking for a local place to listen to great live music and enjoy a great vibe. Tell them that Marc (Mac-On) Jackson sent you... #WinstonsOceanBeach #UNITY...

The experience was amazing being around other Redskins fans watching the game but the bartenders made it into a living nightmare. The bartender we had initially, Raven, was outstanding but the shorter Caucasian female bartender was very aggressive when the commanders game ended, demanding that I pay the tab for me and an acquaintance immediately. At first, she said that I had to pay because they were transferring the tab which I understand because I was also a server but that is not a requirement of me as a patron. When I told her I wanted to continue hanging out the bar, she kept persisting that pay so when I tried to pay, I realized that my debit card was flagged for fraud. When I explained this to the bartender she said that I should’ve told them ahead of time which is ridiculous because how am I supposed to know when someone is going to use my debit card for fraudulent purposes? I told her that I was waiting for funds to hit my alternate account when she kept asking when it would be available. When we eventually paid she mumbled “don’t ever come back” as we were leaving which was extremely rude and uncalled for. DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT WHEN...

One of the best local music venues in OB with an eclectic variety of musicians can be found on any given week. Home to many regular local showcases, and one of the only music venues that has consistently supported hip hop throughout the years. Great bartenders and reasonable prices can both entice and keep those looking to quench their thirst. Includes window seating that looks out onto Bacon street and which provides an excellent people watching perch on sunny summer days. A must see on Monday nights if you want to revel in a truly local and “Obecian” vibe. Sundays during football season proves to be a spot where fans from a myriad of different cities can be assured of seeing their team play, and most likely fans can find a kindred spirit or two with whom they can root for their “home team” with.
