Ace's Bar — Restaurant in San Francisco

Waited at the bar for a drink. The customer in front of us had a friend come up to the bar on her behalf and ask about service for her friend, since she had been waiting 15 minutes. I assumed they were simply the type who liked to complain. After another couple of minutes she left. I heard the bartender comment on how busy he was. It definitely was a packed day. I slid into her spot, the guy beside me got served, I kept trying to catch the eye of the server. He was busy emptying the dishwasher and closing out tabs, but also spent a LOT of time with his friends at the end of the bar, doing shots and serving them multiple rounds while I just waited. A simple nod my way to let me know he saw me and was going to get to me, when he had a chance, would have been nice. Eventually, my friend went up to confirm if we were supposed to order from a specific area of the bar. He told her we needed to come to the bar for drinks. She let him know I had been waiting at the end of the bar for 20 minutes and then ordered two beers. I cancelled the order and left. Twenty nine years in the cocktail/bar scene and I don't know if I've ever had to just walk out of a place...

If I could give it 0 stars i would, bar is only a couple feet from our hotel, soon as we walked in he asked for ID's took a quick glance and gave it back saying they were no good.... we're in our mid 20's and treated us like underaged kids trying to get in, only to go back to the group of locals playing bingo. Was super rude told us to leave and had one of his locals sitting at the bar mocking us to go as well. We decided to celebrate my husband and cousins birthday here and rented two $200 booths. From the time we walked in the establishment, it was overcrowded. The strippers seemed very lack luster and unenthused in their work. It was as if they dreaded performing. So much so I passed on asking one for a lap dance. We thought with the purchase of a booth rental we'd get a stripper or two dancing on our table. But we didnt go even get that. I was very disappointed. I will not be frequenting this...
