If you think about it . (Correct me if Iām wrong) every big famous city in the world has that major thoroughfare. The strip, the hub, the corridor, the heart. San Francisco -easily top 50, maybe top 20 famous cities in the world, easily top 5, maybe 3rd famous cities in the states, has -letās be honest , a main drag that hasā¦kinda lost its mojo. But not all star.
It is the only place to eat on market street all night. (You can buy snacks and coffee at the market between6 and 7, but this is the number one and only spot to get a bite on the main drag in one of americas most iconic cities . These are facts.
Now to the arbitrary department . -look , I know this corner has been known to draw more than a PG-13 crowd between 3am and 5am and can have a few ābad applesā (there are better family oriented venues in San Francisco at these hoursā¦ā¦again an opinion) Theres always a few characters passing through every night who some , I donāt know , may not immediately approve of their daughter bringing to thanksgiving. I know that the party atmosphere can at times - go on a little too late , and I know that a few of the younger denizens of the scene can, at times , be less than responsible. But I assure you , this does not affect the greatest chease steak west of Nebraska the greatest tuna melt west of Tomās river, New Jersey and the greatest customer service north of Tijuana.
Every employee here at night is strictly professional and the food is impeccable. Minh is the best chef in sf . And every cashier is always on point. Give em raises . Triple .
Great place to bring a date after a late night show . The atmosphere isnāt for the faint of heart , but the stairwell across the street is a great place to enjoy a meal to people watch . Kinda like a more San Franciscan version of the Spanish steps in Rome ,not as warm weather at night but certainly less tourists ,less whinos , ,and less annoying vendors. And more available seating at the bottom of the steps.
Unfortunately, the steps are cleared out after dusk
The other three stairwells arenāt as crowded (if you want more privacy) but arenāt as vibrant and magical.
You just gotta watch out for the occasional pick pocket. thereās always atleast one guy there who's half asleep (probaly taking a nap between construction shifts) and one guy who is blocking the sidewalk with a bike-an idiot not realizing thereās a bike lane .
And apparently a guy who aggressively tries to be your ā¦I donāt know , buddy, pal, chum, friend , amigo. Or something of that sort. Iād just ignore or avoid him .
Better to come earlier (before 2) when it isnāt as crowded. But donāt...

I saw that they had sandwiches, so I chose the Philly Cheesesteak. After about seven minutes, my sandwich was ready. I also bought a bottle of water. I don't remember the total, but it was about $12. I opened the bag to find the sandwich, a decent amount of napkins, and a bag of chips. I wasn't expecting chips and I had no idea that I had chips until I opened the bag, so I'm not sure if chips are included or if they gave them to me for free.
The Philly Cheesesteak was absolutely fantastic. The beef was tender, there was a good amount of cheese, and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. The sandwich didn't drip and didn't fall apart easily. I haven't had very many Philly Cheesesteaks, but this was the best one I've ever had.
There's no seating here, but you could sit at Market Square, which is where Twitter's HQ is at. If you're in the area and you want something delicious and inexpensive, consider...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow, what a fantastic order that was quickly delivered, at a difficult hour of 5:30am. The options were simple and exactly what I wanted: breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon and cheese on sourdough bread. And a bagel with avocado and egg. I wish you had some sauce options, but at the same time respect the simplicity. And I had a fun time adding the sauces from my own fridge to both sandwiches. On the egg, cheese, and bacon on sourdough bread, I added classic hot sauce and Dijon mustard. On the egg and avocado on a bagel, I added champagne mustard and Sriracha. I recommend both order x sauce combinations for anyone interested. #Yummers
Wow, and then the donut! Do not get me started. That was an insanely delicious delight! More like a fritter, beautifully moist on the inside and almost cake like but JN donut form. With a fun textured, tasty sugar glaze.
They also added in a complimentary bag of Lays potato chips, classic flavor. #Hospitality makes the...
