Decent prices, tasty food, great flair! We were just checking out the vintage shops on Haight street when suddenly we were struck by hunger. Luckily, we found ourselves standing right next to this nice little café. So we rushed in, ordered the soups du jour, a grilled vegetable sandwich and two cups of hot tea and coffee (in total approx. $ 32). The soups were pretty awesome (especially the toasted baguette on the side was really tasty), coffee and tea were decent. The grilled vegetables on the sandwich were not quite my cup of tea (cauliflower, green pepper and zucchini)... Yet, it was still good and the ingredients were fresh. The café had a great flair, I especially liked that there was a small "balcony" with extra seats above the bar. Restrooms were ok, could've been a bit cleaner though.

Had an amazing time ! The outdoor seating was just perfect, offering a lovely ambiance to enjoy a relaxing meal. The food was top-notch—my steak was cooked to perfection, paired with a refreshing salad and crispy fries. The mint tea was a nice touch to wrap up the meal. My partner had a turkey sandwich and salad, which he also loved. The prices were surprisingly great for the quality of the food, making it an even better experience. The only downside was the service, which was a bit slow—honestly, we had enough time to write this review while waiting! But, I guess that’s a good sign for their business if people are sticking around. Regardless, we’re already planning to return for brunch (especially since breakfast is served all day). Can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend it!

What a cute little cafe! The smooth, lounge music really sets the mood and the food was excellent! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the grilled turkey sandwich - it comes on a french roll that was soft on the inside with a slight crisp on the outside, the cubed turkey was super moist and flavorful, and it came with an awesome chipotle aioli that tied everything together. The accompanying salad was fresh, light, and not over-dressed. My partner's fine herbs omelet with apple cider sausage came with potatoes and fresh fruit. What a treat! Our waitress was extremely nice and attentive despite it being a surprisingly busy Monday morning. Definitely check it out if you are in the neighborhood!

I've been coming to this place for a while since I live in the neighborhood. I like the garden section when it is open. Yesterday was my last visit to this place. There were 4 of us for early lunch, most of the tables in the front area were occupied but the garden tables were empty. One of us went to the garden area to inquire about seating availability, and I waited for the staff behind the counter who was taking an order from a couple. I started walking towards the center of the room beyond the podium at the front door, when the staff behind the counter very rudely stopped me, asked me what I wanted, in a snappy way, and without waiting for my response told me that my place was behind the couple she was talking to, waiving two menus in the air indicating or motioning me back to the entrance, scoldingly. Ironically, I had just heard her tell the couple she was talking to that they could sit anywhere they liked. Meanwhile, my partner, who had gone to check garden sitting, was being scolded in a more rude manner by the other server telling him to go get in line. There was no line! We were the only ones at the door. The podium didn't have a sign stating to "wait to be seated," and there was no host/ess. We were stunned by the rudeness and lack of hospitality. We left and will never come back again! That's the reason for my overall one-star rating. I don't enjoy being verbally abused. Their staff needs more training and a better understanding of their...
