We did not have a good experience at this diner. I ordered a veggie omelet and home fries, my son ordered blueberry pancakes with bacon and a chocolate milk, and my mother ordered a side of toast, a side of fried eggs, and a side of avocado with a cup of coffee. Three waitress brought out plain pancakes instead of the blueberry that we ordered and when we pointed out the mistake, she insisted that we didn't order then with blueberries. She actually argued with us for over a minute about what was ordered before agreeing to bring us the correct order. The pancakes were good, but everything else tasted like it was completely unseasoned. My mother had to go ask the waitress for a coffee refill since she never came back to check on us. The place is very nice, clean and well decorated. The food is very affordable, the portions are correct, and it is well cooked. We were very satisfied with what we ate and drank.
However, the big negative that spoils the experience at Chestnut Diner is the service atmosphere. The two times we were there, the waitress was very unfriendly: no smile, no effort on the pronunciation even though we are French, rude sentences, the impression of annoying her when we ask for something... It doesn't make you want to tip her!

Their English is horrible, they don’t understand English and often make wrong orders for customers. They have been rude and nasty to me.
