The menu was very crunchy and tasty, but the reality turned out to be worse than expected. The food was not tasty. And all. we ordered ramen first, asked for a spicy midium, it turned out to be very VERY spicy, I couldn’t even breathe, I choked and began to cough for a long time. The ramen was also sweet. We ordered two different sushi, it turned out to be a salmon skin, this is the worst thing we have ever tried. The skin overpowered the taste. we decided to order another set of sushi, but they were also not tasty. In the end, what we got: three sets of tasteless sushi, sweet and super spicy ramen. bill 105$. The sushi was very expensive and also not tasty, would not recommend this place. For all the time, the waitress came up once and asked if everything was all right, only when I asked for the bill and she brought it, she said “is everything all right?” and after when I gave the card for payment and she brought the bill, the waitress spoke...

Nestled on a busy intersection of Lombard and Van Ness, Kui Shin Bo can escape you in a blink of an eye. Yet, this being it's second location, it has yet to fail its predecessor. Earth tone hues invite you into a tidy, simply decorated dining area, which gives way to more room tucked in back. Even at full capacity, the gentle atmosphere is calming, and humbly imitates its quietest afternoon. The sushi is immaculate, beautifully handcrafted, intricately assembled, and boasts of flavors you will not believe. Black Garlic ramen was soothing, with a savory roundness, and a sassy spiciness. Service, inviting, and unpretentious. Assuming, this was the owner, him and his fellow chefs, were kind, patient, hospitable and attentive. Visited two days in a row, so if anything that should...

My dad and I found this place near Comfort Inn where we stayed at. We hoped that this place would be great as people claimed in their reviews because for the past two days in SF, we personally didn't enjoy other seafood fancy restaurants where they had many good reviews.

Guess what?

It's great just as what people claimed! We are relieved to eat something delicious!

I love how well-cooked takoyaki is and it's not too runny or overwhelmed by others. Especially when it's crusty on outside but soft on inside! It's well-balanced and delicious! Don't let this restaurant's appearance hold you back! There's so much more than its simple appearance! All compliments to the manager and chef! Thank you for making our last day...

One of my favorite sushi spots in the city. If you are in San Francisco. Stop in. They have a book of choices to pick from. What an amazing menu. Super fresh and so delicious. The seaweed salad is so tasty. The edamame’s on point. Had the tuna carpaccio. So much freshness. Then the real spider roll with real crab meat was light, fresh and delightful. A blend of sea meets farm. With a note of creaminess. Miso soup with perfect and the spicy crunchy roll was so satisfying. The perfect combination and amount of heat to flavor ratio. So if you are looking for a new sushi restaurant. This is the place. Five out of five. Definitely have a favorite for this side of the city.

*2.5 stars* Stopped here because the ramen spot I wanted to try wasn’t open on Monday’s.. 1) the staff wasn’t rude but not that welcoming or attentive. 2) the tonkatsu was delicious and flavorful. the noodles were the perfect thickness and absorbed the broth but the noodles were mushy. I like my noodles with a bit of bite. 3) the chashu was bland, tough and dry. 4) the karaage was piping hot, crispy outside juicy inside and very tasty. My friend tried the beef stick(blanking on the name) and it was mostly fat and bland. I tried it after she didn’t eat all of it. Overall I was not impressed and will be trying the spot I wanted to in the first place.
