I was in the area running some errands and found myself really hungry afterward! Based on some online reviews, I decided to check out Habibi Falafel. Upon arrival, a young lady, whom I guessed was the owner, kindly took my order. Unsure whether to go for a falafel sandwich or shawarma, I asked her which one she preferred. She suggested the chicken shawarma, so I opted for that.
The sandwich was stuffed with flavorful chicken and a mix of vegetables (I asked for all the classic toppings!). While I waited for my meal, I took a moment to look around. The establishment is cozy, quite new, and clean, featuring about six tables. The service was excellent, which prompted me to dine in.
The sandwich was not only delicious but also quite filling. After I finished, I spotted their pistachio Turkish delight and decided to try one along with a cup of black tea. Even though I usually don’t have much of a sweet tooth, the Turkish delight was incredibly satisfying that day!
I should note that a young man was efficiently working behind the counter in the kitchen, seamlessly handling both phone and in-person orders.

Read moreI was really looking forward to trying this new middle eastern restaurant. This is my favorite cuisine and I’ve also lived in the Middle East so I’ve been exposed to a lot of it. I got a mezze plate to go. My honest critique is this: pretty good falafel. It was flaky, flavorful and not too heavy. But, the hummus was just flavorless. Where’s the lemon, where’s the slight hint of garlic and Palestinian spices? No salt or pepper. It was the most blah hummus I’ve ever had. The baba ganoush was the same, no spices or lemon, just ok but not like anything I’ve ever had. Not much eggplant, ok on the garlic and I don’t know why it was white and had a pasty consistency. The pickled vegetables were delicious. What I find most weird is there was absolutely no lemon or spice in anything. I also realized before I left there was no pita in my bag. When I asked for some, I was given the most surly look from the guy behind the counter who put together my to go box. No I’m sorry , no words, just a look that could kill. The woman at the front was really nice. Sweet and bubbly, the exact opposite. Don’t know what their specialties are or if they’re good , but to me, mezzes are a staple so unless I’m looking for decent falafel, I...
