The line for weekday lunch stretches quite far, so I am inclined to believe they are equipped to serve high volumes. But I came for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, and there were only a couple other customers in this little take-out spot.
$11 Chicken Shawarma - chicken with tahini, lettuce, tomatoes & topped with garlic sauce, wrapped in lavash: The wrap was huge and satisfied my hunger. However, I have learned that I am not the biggest fan of lavash. I would have preferred it wrapped in something softer, like a pita. But that's more of a personal preference. The chicken was pretty juicy, but the sauce was dripping quite a bit, even though I kept the bottom wrapped in foil.
$5.50 Baklava: Why is baklava always so expensive? I can't say no to it. This was especially flaky, crunchy, and sweet with the nutty pistachio flavor. I ate one piece and saved the rest in the fridge for Mr. Joy, and it was still pretty good a few hours later.
Now I hate to say anything negative, especially if it's something that didn't happen to me. Another patron had placed an order online and he came in to ask if they had his order, and they insinuated that there aren't any online orders. A few minutes later, the manager emerged and said they did have his order ready, but the customer said frustratedly that he already canceled the order. The manager said he would give the customer a bad review for 'leaving the food.' This is just a classic case of miscommunication and both parties could have tried a little harder to clear things up. However, I do think that Oasis Grill could have been less lazy about checking their orders and make more of an effort to placate the annoyed customer.
Though I thought the service could have been better (even though this didn't happen to me), I thought the food was alright. I will not return for a wrap, but should I ever end up at OG, I'll try a a skewer plate or some...

I participated in a multi-month professional training program in San Francisco's Financial District a few years ago. Weekend lunch options were limited, especially for those of us who preferred something beyond typical fast food. One day, someone recommended Oasis Grill during a lunchtime debate about where to grab a bite. It quickly became a favorite among us for the rest of the program.
My office was nearby, so Oasis Grill became a go-to lunch spot for the following few years during my workweek. I particularly enjoyed the falafel and shawarma wraps. The shawarma offered a choice of beef, lamb, or chicken.
My regular visits were abruptly interrupted by the pandemic. Then, last week, a craving for a falafel wrap led me back to Oasis Grill. Though the staff had changed, the place looked mostly unchanged. The staff quickly filled orders, and most importantly, the falafel wrap was just as tasty as I remembered! The wraps come in two sizes: regular and deluxe. The deluxe has a few extra items for a couple of dollars more, but the regular is just as satisfying.
The store is very small, and there is no place to sit, but if you are looking for a takeout option, it is a very...
Read moreGot the vegan deluxe wrap and it was so delicious I forgot it was vegan!! Eggplant, bell peppers, falafel, lettuce, tomatoes & tahini in a lavash wrap. The wrap was so big that I have to split it between two meals. Good price at $13 including sales tax. Employer was nice and efficient when I came to pick up my order and followed the instructions I had included in the Grub hub app regarding no plastic bag or utensils. Thanks for the great food, good price, and nice service!
Update: got take out for dinner again and tried some new things. Kefta kebab plate was really good—everything including the rice meat and grilled veggies were tasty altho we wish there were more vegetables. The hummus was especially good & creamy. The falafels were also tasty. The ahi tuna wrap was okay but the tuna tasted like it just came out of a can as it was dry and chunky. The garlic fries could use more garlic and were a little soggy as there was no hole in the box to keep out the moisture. The onion rings were okay but nothing special.
I’d highly recommend the vegan deluxe wrap and kefta kebab plate. This place is great for take out, and well...
