We chose to try this place over our "usual" because it's a little closer to home and got decent reviews, specifically re: the "very easy" online ordering feature. First off, as soon as I clicked on "Order", the website started playing music that I coudn't shut off, annoying everyone in my living room. Then, I had to create an account to order. I created the account, THEN had to log in. The site clearly showed that I was logged in, but kept saying I had no address on file. I re-entered it, same error. Clicked on My Profile, which now showed my address twice. Meanwhile, loud music still playing and I'm wondering why I'm still trying to order from these guys. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and call them. I SPECIFICALLY wanted the ability to order online conveniently in the future. I asked the call ctr rep for help with online ordering, and she offered to take my order. I politely declined (several online reviews warned against ordering errors by their call center - my family was hungry and I wasn't up for that), and asked for help with online ordering. She said sure, then transferred me to a manager. Wha?? I need a manager with a basic online service issue? That was after I had told her all about my online troubles. So the manager picks up, acts like she has no idea what my issue is, then (after I explain myself) offers to take my order. I repeat myself: I really just want some help ordering online, please! She interrupted me to remind me that she was a manager and could take my order by phone. Buh-bye. Lost me forever, guys - get...

My wife and I went here last Friday night before The Godfather at the SF symphony. It's a short walk from Davies Symphony Hall and sounded good. We arrived at 6:58pm (I know because they have you sign in with your time), were told it would be 10-15 for a table, so we pre-ordered our pizza. We got a table in around 15 minutes and ordered a beer and a caesar salad to split. At 7:40pm we still hadn't gotten our pizza. I asked the waitress to check on it and that we were trying to make the symphony. If you aren't there at 8pm, they close the doors on you and you can't get to your seat until after intermission. She came back and told us our pizza still had 15 minutes. I told her that was not acceptable as the menu said 35-40 minutes for a deep dish pizza. She argued and said it was clear on the menu that it took 40 minutes to an hour. She aggressively grabbed a menu from the counter and opened it to reveal we were right. She said it wasn't her fault that the kitchen got busy. We said we weren't blaming her, but would now be sitting through a three hour movie hungry. We asked for our check and the waitress said she would pull the pizza out of the oven. We said we couldn't take it, what would we do, coat check a pizza? The waitress did not return. Five minutes later a man comes back with our check and pizza. He took the pizza off the bill. We gave the pizza to a homeless guy outside and ran to the performance. Hungry. Thank goodness the cafe at Davies had a...
Read moreDriver did not contact me and left the pizza in front of the building on the street. I always add a note to the order to contact me via the intercom. Order was made at the Hayes location at 4:13. When I called @ 6:15, after being at my desk next to my phone the entire time, I was told it had been delivered at 4:13--confusion from the start. A lot of talking ensued. I was repeatedly told it was the Doordash driver's fault and what did I want to do about it. I requested a replacement or refund multiple times and was put on hold each time while the "manager" was consulted. Finally I was told that they'd redo the pizza but I'd have to pick it up because they wouldn't want the same thing to happen again. I have been a customer since the Fillmore Street location was established, the location I initially did business with. At some point, I think at the time ordering online was established, that was switched by them to Hayes Street. I have never had a pizza left on the street before (something the delivery person had a photo of showing it had been "delivered"--how that could possibly be acceptable I cannot imagine). This should have been a no brainer. Replace the pizza or refund as requested, not blame the driver (who got tipped) and claim no responsibility for the incident. That a long time customer was treated this way is appalling. After in inordinate amount of time, the final result: a refund instead of a replacement. Maybe they should consider a new means of delivering...
