Love this food hall!! They have a great selection of vendors, great vibes, and friendly staff. I’ve visited Saluhall several times for lunch / brunch, and I’ve been impressed every time by the variety — there’s an option for everyone, and, if you need a post-meal walk, you can always wander around the IKEA showroom. I love how spacious the space is, and I appreciate that they give each vendor a lot of space to work. I was initially a bit surprised by how few vendors / slots they had open for such a giant two-story space, but I think the extra kitchen space allows the vendors to operate a bit more like they would in a normal restaurant and serve more complex things (vs. say, Union Market in DC, where it feels like everyone is on top of each other).
My favorite vendors (so far — I haven’t tried them all) are: Momo — wonderful Sichuan-style noodle shop! The noodles are spicy and numbing, have a wonderful al dente texture, and come topped with super flavorful braised tofu (or meat). I think they could make the noodles even more spicy and numbing, but I may be a bit of an edge case.
Curry Up Now — super tasty Indian street food spot! The tikka masala paneer is absolutely delicious, and the springy, but rich cheese goes wonderfully with the curry. The curry typically comes with a healthy serving of rice — about as much as the curry — and you can add naan for an extra fee. They also give out free chai that is quite tasty; it’s a bit sweet but not overly so, and super warm and comforting.
They also have a lovely cafe that I can’t remember the name of for the life of me, but the coffee is phenomenal. It’s super rich and nutty, and you can absolutely taste the flavor of the espresso, even through the milk of, say, a latte. And, of course, you can never go wrong with the IKEA food hall.
Overall, lovely food hall with tons of amazing goodies. I can’t wait to come back and try more of...

I went to Casa Borinqueña and got the mofongo with plant-based chicken. It was billed as an appetizer, but ideally you’d have someone to split it with - it made a very reasonable dinner for one person. I’ve eaten a fair amount of Puerto Rican food, and I have some pedantic thoughts about the presentation not being traditional - but neither is using plant-based meat, and they manage to capture the flavor of a pollo a la criolla surprisingly well. It genuinely beat my expectations by a mile and I want to go try their other offerings.
Dinner was made even better by sitting by the windows overlooking Market St - it’s clean, calm, and really pretty in the evening light, with just busses and people walking down the street keeping things pretty quiet.
I also went to Snöberg and got a strawberry/vanilla ice cream. At the risk of being a little hyperbolic, the ice cream station really made me feel like a kid again, with a variety of colorful (and, notably, free) toppings all lined up in large glass jars. The ice cream was big and crazy looking (I got it covered in rainbow sprinkles and “cotton candy crisp,” because why not) and exactly what I wanted at the end of a long day.
It’s also worth mentioning how nice all of the staff were - we came close to the end of the day and yet everyone was smiling and excited to talk about their offerings and genuinely seemed like they wanted us to have a good time. I’m really grateful this spot finally opened and that I got to go - I definitely think it’s worth the trip and I hope other people...
Read moreCool. Place to come and hang out after work.
Really spacious. Great vibe. Hard to find a meal under 20 bucks in San Francisco.
Free Wi-Fi. I came here solo and it was just me and my phone but that was all right. Everyone was really friendly. Got to do some people watching and had my choice of seats.
I came a bit after 5p Thursday for happy hour which was a specialty beer made by fort point which was really good. And they also had a red wine and a white wine which I did not have but will do next time I come.
Then I get hungry so I went across and got a flatbread. Specifically the lamb one. It was rather tasty. Probably not the healthiest thing though, never had a flatbread like it before. It was crunchy and a bit oily on top.
All the food coming out looked good. All in all a good place for meeting people. Casually, or dates. There were some bigger groups of people which I assumed were meetups.
Two floors, upstairs. There were an assortment of places to eat and enough variety for everyone.pizza, burgers. Noodles, tacos.etc.
Upstairs and downstairs bar pretty similar. Serving all sorts of cocktails, beer and wine.
I would definitely come back here again to meet others or just to hang out with my laptop.
Right now this enough space to work but idk it might get crowded later as it gets more popular and word gets out.
Oh FYI, it's connected to Ikea next door so you can get your shopping fix in before/ after hanging out.
Ps there are also pastries and coffee for breakfast and ice cream for those with a...
