During my recent visit to San Francisco, California, I had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at Sisterita. I discovered this charming spot while searching for nearby restaurants around my hotel and was immediately drawn to its appeal. When I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere, with a unique and thoughtfully designed interior that gives the place its own personality. Despite the restaurant being packed with customers, I was fortunate to be seated quickly at the bar since I was dining alone.
I ordered the steak and eggs, which were both flavorful and beautifully plated. The dish was satisfying, and the overall presentation was excellent. The staff here truly stood out with their outstanding service—friendly, attentive, and consistently ensuring that all guests felt welcome and cared for.
Sisterita’s menu offers a wide variety of options, catering to all tastes. While I didn’t get to explore many dishes this time due to feeling a bit tired from my travels, the delightful ambiance and exceptional service left a lasting impression. I’m already planning to return and try more of their offerings on my next visit.
If you’re in San Francisco and looking for a quality breakfast spot with great food, exceptional service, and a cozy atmosphere, I highly recommend Sisterita. It’s a true gem that’s well...
Read moreWe had high hopes for Sisterita after hearing about its charming ambiance and brunch offerings, but unfortunately, our visit was marked by frustration and underwhelming food.
To start, we waited an hour just to get into the restaurant. Once seated, we endured another hour before our food finally arrived—an unacceptable delay that soured the experience from the beginning.
We ordered the French onion soup with a side sandwich and the brioche French toast. While the French onion soup was the one highlight—rich and flavorful—the side sandwich was a complete miss. The cheese wasn’t melted, the ham was burned, and the bread wasn’t properly toasted, making the whole dish feel rushed and careless.
The brioche French toast was equally disappointing. It lacked the depth and warmth you expect from a dish like this—bland in flavor and undercooked in the middle, leaving a dense, doughy texture that made it hard to enjoy.
On top of that, the service was painfully slow and inattentive. I requested additional items during the meal that never arrived, and it was difficult to flag down anyone for assistance.
Overall, the experience felt like a waste of time and money. Despite the restaurant’s aesthetic appeal, the long waits, poor service, and lackluster food make it a place I would not recommend...
Read moreI went to Sisterita with my wife on our honeymoon. We placed a reservation the day before over the phone. My wife had been to this restaurant previously on a girls trip, and raved about how I had to try it. Upon arrival, we were 3 minutes late for our reservation as parking in SF can be a pain. The hostess greeted us and asked the name of our reservation. They asked us to take a seat in the waiting area while they confirmed our reservation. About ten minutes went by before the hostess returned to share that they no longer had a table reserved for us, but that we can take a seat at the table that sat directly at the entrance. My wife and I were confused how they did not have a reserved table for us however we accepted the table that they offered. The restaurant itself is cramped and tiny. You felt like you were dinning with others who came to the restaurant too. The service was a bit slow for this scale of restaurant. I definitely expected the services to be better. There was a huge delay between receiving our beverages and our meals. It was hard to flag anyone down for additional service requests. All in all, I was disappointed that our reservation was ignored however I will recommend the chicken and waffles to anyone that does decide to visit. The cost per plate here are...
