What better way to celebrate National Taco Day and Latinx Heritage Month than spending taco Tuesday at Uno Dos Tacos? When I asked my friend what she wanted for dinner she said tacos of course! That's how we ended up at Uno Dos Tacos and I couldn't have been happier. On top of that, we came during their happy hour! Happy hour runs on weekdays from 4:00 p.m. until closing.
My friend and I arrived a little after happy hour. You have the chance to order at the counter or find a seat and order from their QR code at the table. We chose the latter as it permitted us to pay for our tabs. Off their happy hour menu, I ordered two tacos. My selection of protein was the Tinga and Vegetariano. I asked for salsa and lime on the side. For some reason I didn't get lime but instead a side of beans--oh well. However, the tacos were surprisingly better than we both expected! The vegetables were nicely grilled and filling and the chicken was moist and tender. The salsa was a must for both tacos--light and mild. My friend also got the two tacos and enjoyed them.
Uno Dos Tacos is located downtown in the Financial District. It's readily accessible by foot and public transportation. Parking is street only or at nearby garages. The interior of the restaurant is relaxed, informal, and booming with music. The restaurant was patronized by customers coming off of work. As a result, when the work day ended it became busier and louder. Regardless, the runners did a good job taking care of orders. They weren't the friendliest but efficient. My friend and I were shocked by how fast our food and drinks came.
Overall, there's no better way to enjoy Latinx Heritage Month than supporting this Latinx-owned business! I recommend taking advantage of their daily happy hour filled with good bites and vibes. It's an excellent place to unwind with a big or small party. If I worked in the area...

The atmosphere inside is a perfect blend of casual and modern, with plenty of personality. I loved the bright and cheerful touches, like the tiled walls announcing, “Fresh Tortillas Hechas a Mano.” It’s clear they take pride in their handmade tortillas, and it shows in the quality of their food.
The menu offers a fantastic variety of options, from classic tacos to hearty burrito plates, catering to meat lovers and vegetarians alike. The setup is convenient, with easy-to-use ordering kiosks ensuring a smooth experience.
What really sets Uno Dos Tacos apart is the tequila bar! It’s beautifully designed and stocked with an impressive selection of tequila and other spirits, making it a great spot to unwind with friends over a margarita or two. The cozy decor and holiday-themed accents add an extra layer of charm to the space.
Lastly, the service was friendly and efficient. Whether you’re here for a quick lunch or an evening with friends, you’ll feel welcomed and well taken care of. I’ll definitely be back to enjoy more of their fresh, flavorful food and lively atmosphere.

Read moreEmployees here are quick to make rude remarks in regard’s to their door dash check in service. I checked in before and was told I couldn’t use my $10 coupon though I made a $30 purchase and met the minimum requirement being $25 they still gave me a $8 discount and told me thats “door dash only”.
Now today I check in expecting to use my $10 coupon because I was given the run around on how they couldn’t use it last time and was expecting another $8 one and what do you know? They know how to use their system now. I would be fine and okay with it except a female associate, even though I showed her phone multiple times she accused me of not checking in. Felt racially motivated I’m an african american man, i come in here every other day, and to be talked down to by that young lady.
Why even have a door dash dine out system in the first place if only 1 person knows how to apply the proper discounts? If you run into the wrong employee they try to short you even if you meet the minimum. If you try to explain you’re accused? Unacceptable im done doing...
