3 Hermanos Mexican Grill — Restaurant in San Jose

On 5/17/25, I ordered a quesadilla with added grilled chicken, and an added chips and guacamole on the side from 3 Hermanos Mexican Grill while in San Jose for the night. When my order was ready, I was handed a plate with the chicken quesadilla, a small cup of pico de gallo, and a couple chips. I immediately noticed that there was no guacamole on the plate and told the worker that I had ordered chips and guac, not pico de gallo. She then told me they were all out of guac, and turned around and walked away before I could bring up the fact that I paid extra for the chips and guac. Since I had a show to get to, I decided to just sit and eat the quesadilla and chips. When I looked down at the plate, there were, without exaggeration, 2 singular chips on the plate with the quesadilla. When looking back at the receipt, I paid $27 dollars total (with tip included) for a mediocre/overpriced chicken quesadilla and 2 singular chips. If you run out of an ingredient, maybe make it known to your customers, as well as don't charge them for it initially. If I ever visit San Jose again, I will stay clear of 3 Hermanos...

Everytime I order something from this place the prices magically fluctuate. FOR EXAMPLE, I order a quessabirria with a consome for about $12.00, next week I order the same exact thing but this time I'm paying $15.00 "plus I'm getting the consome for free", that is exactly what the workers told me, than 2 weeks later I go back and order the same exact meal I order 2 weeks prior, and they tell me that its gonna be 15 dollars just for the quessibirria but the consome is not included anymore.

The fluctuation of prices have been happening daily for a consistent 3 months, at this point I'm annoyed I have to play a guessing game with them on how much I'm gonna pay for a meal, and fyi this is not just happening to one item on the menu but all.

Food is bad, don’t order the tortas, they’ll mask it with a ton of old overly refrigerated lettuce, quality of ingredients, like the meat, is of the lowest quality and poorly made, the chips, the greasiest chips I’ve ever had, fried with the lowest quality overly used cooking oil. They charge 5 dlls for a table spoon 🥄 of guacamole, but the picture on the menu presents a good portion and presentation, don’t be miss lead!!!!! Poor customer service.

They are the place that is mostly open inside the market, which probably explains they overly priced poor quality badly tasting food.
