Don’t sleep on this gem 💎💎💎 This spot is a truly wonderful place for a quick lunch. The restaurant is family owned and has been open for decades. The food is fresh, quick and extremely tasty. Yes, the pho is delicious, but be sure to also try the bo bun, beef and bamboo shoots, fresh spring rolls or the lemongrass chicken or beef. DO NOT skip the iced coffee - it is the best I have ever had! The staff will remeber your name if you visit more than once or twice and will take excellent care of you. Honestly, if you manage to have a bad experience here, I can confidently say you’re not a good person. Monique, her brother and the rest of the family are here to provide delicious Vietnamese dishes and are incredibly kind and caring. Please support this local and family run business!

Outdoor paint by the wall looks great and modern that's why we decided to try it when we walked by. However inside was outdated, looks like street style shack back in vietnam. Pricing is OK, bowl comes in 2 sizes small& large. We decided to order # 1 brisket with add on beef balls for both bowls. My partner got complete order however mine was missing beef ball , i told the male server then a lady came in by our table and decided to scoop out my bowl with her spoon searching for the "beef ball" that wasn't there. I was disgusted and lost my appetite . Find it very appropriate to just scoop out someone else's food esp paying customers. Nothing special on the pho was quite basic.

Perfect lunch stop on our way to Monterey Bay! My partner recommended the place and said it was great years ago and it is still great to this day! The pho was super tasty and the broth was very rich. The Vietnamese coffee kept me awake all day. The lemonade never arrived but they were super friendly and nice and took it off the bill. I’ll stop here again if we are driving past San Jose. Omg now I want pho now.

It is a bit of an exaggeration to say this hole in the wall restaurant on a busy corner in downtown San Jose CA with barely any parking a 5-star dining experience, but I am rating the food here excellent. I really like this place. The cold spring rolls, goi cuon, are excellent along with the sauce. The pho Vietnamese soup is the best I have tasted anywhere, especially the #2. The Vietnamese drip iced coffee is deliciously tasty and refreshing. Dac Phus'c service is actually improving, but I would love not have to "stand and deliver" at the cashier and instead pay from my table. While the building itself looks cool, clean and modern from outside, the inside needs some attention, still it has a certain distressed charm. Nevertheless, this place is my go to place for Vietnamese food which I love and I drive the 30 minutes or so it takes to get there where I can to enjoy my favorite pho/soup. Dac Phuc has existed since the 1980's when I was a SJSU student, and there is a solid reason for its longevity, it is great. I think ingredients have suffered lately because of the skyrocketing costs for rent in the area but Dac Phuc''s pho and basil is really tasty good, the best. Someday I will have to ask where did they get such a crazy name?

Oh, and I would be remiss if I did not mention the unpleasant restroom. I really should take a star or two off for that ... it is a disgrace. Take a hint Dac Phuc and do a remodel of your...
