Came here with a group of 5 for a cousins dinner night on a Friday evening at 6pm. We were the only ones dining in the restaurant until two people came in later in the meal after us and ordered wonderful-smelling tandoori chicken. They were accommodating to our big group and shifted the tables for us. We found the prices to be great considering normal meals in the Bay Area. We ate family-style and shared...
Dahi sev puri - I was craving pani puuri and this was the closest thing to it on the menu. It was my cousins' first time trying it. It was like a cold, wet yogurt explosion in the mouth. Lots of sweet and tangy flavors here. I liked it but one was good enough for me since they're big, like it'd fill your whole mouth. It was a refreshing appetizer.
Veggie samosas - Big sizes and flavorful filling. My favorite dip is the tamarind one. It also comes with a green mint chutney.
Butter chicken - This was tasty. We ordered a mild-medium spice because one of our cousins has a low tolerance. We ordered hot sauce on the side that wasn't spicy at all. Anyway, this butter chicken went along well with the naan. Not the most addictive butter chicken I've had, but we generally enjoyed it.
Bhindi masala - My favorite part of our whole meal! The Bhindi masala had great flavors and the okra texture was so good. I enjoyed it with the biryani and naan.
Chicken biryani - Instead of rice, we ordered the biryani instead. I think it could've used more spices, but it went well with out other entrees, the bhindi masala and butter chicken.
Garlic naan - We got two for our party and it was enough. They're quite big! It wasn't dry; it was soft and I liked the dispersion of the garlic on the bread.
Aloo paratha - Along with our naan, this aloo paratha was enough bread for our party. The smoothness of the bread was delicious and I loved the texture.
Mango lassi - Thick and not the freshest. However I almost always need to have it with an Indian meal, and it did okay with washing down the food and spices.
The service was quick and friendly. I am glad this spot exists here...
Read moreOutstanding experience all around, and this is coming from someone who's extraordinarily picky. When it comes to flavor, freshness, quantity, quality, price, and service, they've got it down.
I came here a few times around when they first opened strictly for the buffet, which was quite good, but haven't been since as I live in a totally different part of town and the buffet had temporarily ended, which I believe was around COVID time.
Anyway, I was in the area and ordered the butter chicken and garlic naan.
The butter chicken and naan came out hotter and fresher than any other restaurant I've ever been to. Very impressive first impression.
The naan are large and THOROUGHLY buttered and topped with garlic. They're superb. I'd prefer if they were a hair softer/easier to break apart, but these are top 3 naan in the Bay without question. 9.5/10
The butter chicken is also a larger than average size portion and also incredibly fresh. The gravy has a wonderful taste and consistency, and the chicken inside is tender and also flavorful, where many restaurants don't pay much attention to the chicken, they do here. I do have other favorite butter chickens in the Bay but I'd say these guys are worthy of being in the top 5. 9/10
Enjoyable mango lassi too.
The service is very kind as well, and the restaurant itself is very clean, though small. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest this place to anyone and I'd order anything off the menu in full confidence....
Read moreWith shelter in place order and craving some good authentic chicken kebabs , happened to come across the restaurant as a suggestion on Uber eats. Ordered a bunch of items along with the chicken kebabs and tandoori and believe me , the wait was all worth it. Delicious in every bite and extremely fresh. Palak Panneer along with a good amount of salad and some tandoori rotis rounded of the order real good. Definite recommendation would be the tandoori chicken and the Tangri kebab.. Order it now and thank me later for the suggestion :) .. You are welcome!!
Planned a get together for friends on the occasion of Eid and was definitely looking around for options for catered food. After bouncing off a few places came across Mehak of India and it definitely rang a bell.
We had ordered food from their restaurant in the past and it was top notch. Also, that i was looking for Halal meat to be served and they agreed to provide the same.
We ended up ordering Anaardana Chana , Lychie Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala , Tava Phulka and Yogurt with Potat and Cucumber (mint sprinkled) and it a very competitive price.
Harry, who i was talking to all this while to make this happen, is extremely friendly, knows how to take care of customers and he made sure that we got nothing but the best.
Absolutely impressed with their dishes and would definitely recommend their restaurant and catering services. Go, give...
