The FAB — Restaurant in San Jose

The place is cute with a nice chair and backdrop for photo opp. It took a while for the staff to acknowledgey family when we arrived. In fact, one of the servers was at the bar as if she was a patron upon arrival and didn't even look up at us! The location was not busy when we first came in and nobody bothered to greet us or say a word until I asked if they were even open.

Hospitality was slow and definitely needs improvement eventhough out waiter was alright. Drink was the main event for my sis and I and it was large and fun. Of course, we ordered the watermelon Mimosa Fabulosa and was disappointed we couldn't mix flavours (really wanted strawberry watermelon) given the size. The drink came loaded with fruit, flavor and a full bottle of champagne. We split between 2 but saw people with many more in their party tackle the monster cocktail.

It was cute but as the night went on and we saw other parties, we noticed everyone else received a fiery show with their order and they definitely looked prepped with more care and toppings. Yes their drinks were literally ON FIRE! Not ours but Whatever ... we loved the photo opp and our mission was to get Lit and full!

That brings me to our food. of course we came for happy hour and pretty much ordered one of everything available. Our food came out kind of fast but it was ALL cold or lukewarm. It shouldn't have given we were the only ones there upon arrival. Also, food was extremely mediocre .. we had to ask for a lot of it to be taken off our tab because we just were not going to eat it due to quality. I will give the manager credit because she did not put up a fight when we made requests to make this right due to dissatisfaction. That goes a long way in my book!

The hidden gem in the happy hour were the loaded fries which were flavorful eventhough they were tepid and room temperature. The corn ribs were cool too eventhough I imagined I could just bite right into it lol , be careful y'all eat it like it's corn on the cob. I can't imagine how u can mess up tacos but mission accomplished. We switched to a pizza it was ok. Everything else including the birria and wings was TRASH.

Overall we thought this was going to be a banging experience due to IG media and photos. I was begging to take a trip here for weeks and broke my neck at the opportunity to get out with my sister.

The experience was very mid and underwhelming afterall that. We probably won't be returning but kudos to that giant drink which didn't even get us drunk🤦🏾‍♀️👌🏾🙌🏾

The final cherry on top of this mediocre visit was the same ladies that ignored us when we arrived we're so focused on us while we we're exiting and threatened to charge us a bottle fee because I showed my sister my Cardi B whip shots (🔥) and we took literally one squirt to taste it. We were already standing up to leave out and they knew that but the pettiness in them just wouldn't let them be satisfied haha. We already paid our tab and wrapped up on the set. Why are y'all even ear hustling our conversation? This could be regular whip cream 😭 WHATEVER BYE YALL. NEVER AGAIN.

SERVICE - Needs improvement! Get it together 👎 FOOD- Flavor Needs work + needs to be hotter upon delivery 🥶 DRINK- Cute but expensive and weak. 🍹❌ Ambiance- Good music, cute decorations and photo opp friendly. Not kid...

I only come here for trivia on Wednesday nights. The food was really good the first time and I've had a horrible experience every time (~4 weeks) since.

I went in once and was playing trivia with a friend. We sat for an hour, were never brought menus or even acknowledged. He finally went to the counter to order and they told him he's "supposed to order at the table."

The servers are always on their phones and super inattentive. The phones wouldn't bother me if they looked up to check on people occasionally.

I tried ordering the bean and cheese burrito I had ordered the first time I went. It came out plated completely differently without any of the sides or garnishes it had before. It also just straight up tasted awful that day.

Last time I was in my friend and I tried to order beers. Despite having a server I've seen there every time I've gone, she didn't know the menu very well. My friend asked for a "Sierra Nevada" and she said they don't have that. I pointed to it on the giant tv/menu right behind her. I tried to order a "Golden State Cider" and had to describe it 3 different ways before she finally just grabbed us a menu so we could point at it.

They also don't post updates about trivia nights so it wasn't happening the other week and there was no announcement of any kind.

I thought I found a new fun spot to do trivia with my friends but most of my experiences here have been pretty...

Beware of extra charges. Went in with friends expecting a good food for a good price. But unfortunately, we did not. When we arrived to the establishment we were not greeted. We sat ourselves and had to go in and ask for menus despite having been siting for 5 minutes already. The waitresses were very rude and not inviting at all. We were charged an extra 21%! Tip per person. Not to our knowledge. It was never communicated to us. The waitresses never even talked to us they just came and took our order and left. So, to me and my group they were not deserving of this much tip. When we went to pay they were so rude about it and then one of the lady’s mentioned something about students getting an extra 10% off and we mentioned we were students after paying. She got annoyed and remarked how she didn’t know we were students and how if we would have told them we would have gotten 10% off. Again we were never communicated about this deal and it was no where posted outside. She offered the 10% back. I paid 35.67 for my meal, but was given 1.67 back. 3.58 is what I should of received, since that is 10% of 35.67. At that point, I just kept my 1,67. While this was happening one of the waitresses was looking at us with such a rude expression on her face. The male waitress was also sitting inside just watching my friends and I, which I thought was very weird. I will be recommending my friends other...
