In spite of all the reviews I have visited this place three times. First time amazing! As well as the second one. Third one is the most recent and I can tell you that the food was amazing. They have less waiters than the first time we visited prior to Covid, therefore the service it's a little slow because most waiters are attending people from this restaurant and the one in the front. Our waiter was very friendly, spoke honestly and took care of us! Mind you, that I was visiting with a one year old, a 4 year old, my husband and three more friends. We all ordered mofongos because they serve mexican and local food too. The mofongo with churrasco in mushroom sauce is always heavenly. Expensive? Of course! Have you seen the prices of groceries on this island? People come here thinking that we have $1.00 beer everywhere and cheap food, well I am sorry to burst your bubble but everything has gotten seriously expensive on the island and restaurants have to cover many costs. Plus this restaurant is located at a prime, high tourism area. Go visit, eat queso frito, sorullitos, alcapurritas and the mofongo, pay what you are charged and for the love of God TIP YOUR WAITER! They only get like...

The food here tasted like we came over for dinner at Tia’s house up the hill. The mole sauce was silky smooth and not bitter. The salsa verde wasn’t extra sour, just right. Carne molida was gently seasoned, not dry or greasy.
We had to go to Puerto Rico for the best Mexican food outside of Mexico and we aren’t mad about it!

The vibe is super chill, especially if you sit outside on the cobblestone street — it really gives that classic Old San Juan charm. Service was friendly and on point. If you’re in the area and looking for a great spot with amazing Mexican food, don’t...
