I want to be fair here, so I will start with the negative and end with the positive. I am an avid hookah smoker. So, I was excited to see a few hookah lounges in the area we were staying in. We looked up the location on google maps and saw they were open until 12am. We walked over, between 10-11pm to grab a hookah and a lady at the bar said they were closed. Obviously I was a little confused but know that google can be off sometimes so I tried to ask for clarification. She was rude and short with me and repeated we are closed. As I was walking out another employee was nice enough to explain they were closing early that night but normally they are open until midnight. We chalked this up to the person having a bad day. We decided to go back a few days later and had an amazing experience. A different lady was serving and she was courteous, attentive and very nice. It was so good that we decided to go back that evening as we were leaving the next day. We encountered the same woman as the first night we went. Again she was rude, impatient and just generally unfriendly. We sat at the table we were instructed and a guy came over. I asked him who she was thinking that maybe I should let someone know about her attitude. I was informed she was the owner. I really struggled with this review bc the staff was very nice but both encounters with the owner were unpleasant. I will say that the hookah is Really good. Best I had in Puerto Rico. The space is a little small and could use some updates but the location is great by the plaza especially if you can get a...
Read moreI want to preface that I feel people only leave bad reviews, they never take the time to leave good ones. However, after seeing that as long as you leave a review you get a free shot, I can understand why the reviews are as good as they are. My friend asked for a blanco tequila and they brought out gold. They made it right and brought out another one. I ordered a regular daiquiri, they gave me a frozen strawberry one. I sent it back thinking they would make it right. We asked them to make a new one with Bacardi, simple syrup and lime juice , and instead of a daiquiri I received a strawberry mojito. I drank it because it took 30 minutes to get a round of drinks with only two other tables. (Probably because they were too busy talking to the two women sitting at the bar). Our hookah came and it tasted like Palmolive (dish soap), not watermelon mint. When we asked for the bill, we paid for the total listed on the receipt. My 2 friends went up to the bar and ordered 2 more shots, which updated the previous bill. They then charged us another $100 dollars on top of what we already paid… and still charged us for the frozen daiquiri which I sent back on top of tipping a mandatory 18%. And then because they didn’t have change, they rounded up the bill. We only went because the one friend we were with went here before a few months ago and had nothing but good things to say. Sat for a few hours, had multiple drinks and great service. Definitely not the kind of service we received today. No need for a response back , you asked for more detail, so you...
Read moreAfter touring Old San Juan all day, if you want to sit back and enjoy a drink.... I'd say this is the place to be. Very friendly staff...I liked the location overlooking the square. It almost reminded me of the palazzos in Rome. We started off with bhel puri mix and chicken Satay. With medium to low spice levels, the Satay was a hit with my toddler. Bhel was good but I had higher expectations. Wish it was a little more crunchier. The chicken tikka kathi roll was amazing. Definitely one of the best I've had in US. The aloo chat was also good. Our friendly waiter explained how the sauces used in the item was guava instead of tamarind as in traditional Indian cooking. I personally didn't see too much of fusion as I had expected. But nevertheless I liked the options they had. Their drinks menu was very appealing. We tried 3 out of the 150 mojitos. They were all good. I tried a cardamon or elachi mojito which was good but I wished they crushed the cardamon more so that the flavors could blossom in every sip. It was still a great idea and I might be experimenting it at home soon.
Overall we had a lovely time here. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting...
