This is the WORST experience EVER! I had eat and travel the world many times and I can definitely said that this place is not service oriented.
Our waiting time was 20mints the hostess who was a gentleman NEVER offer us something to drink or if we will like to wait at the bar so we can enjoy some appetizers or drinks during our waiting time.
Once we get to the table the same host when directly to the main entree options without offering us some cocktails, wine or appetizers to start with.
Before we placed our order we was VERY clear with our food restrictions and allergies. We order a shareable rice place which came with one of the food items that without mentioned that price for this option is ridiculous $27 for a rice.
We also were confused with our server because "Amanda and the Hostess" was providing food suggestions at the table.
On the other hand my girlfriend ordered a side of puree and when the plate arrived to the table the size of the plate was like a taste of puree at "you must be kidding me" when we ask the hostess/server about the plate he said "that was a favor that our chef did for you" first of all we was playing for that plate if the Chef could not do a plate don't offered! At that point I was already upset because before all this happen the hostess offered us another table which we agreed but guess what I was drinking a bottle of Acqua Panna and they took it away without been finished. For my protein I ordered the Tenderloin option which was cut in sliced and cold, the two persons "Amanda and Hostess" never explained the cook procedure of this plate.
Early tonight my companion and me decided to go to this place because online say that it was a cozy place NOT at all it VERY noisy and stressful ambience and the gentlemen "hostess" was VERY rude and unrespectful!
Overall I will NEVER, NEVER! recommend this place to no one and believe I know a lot about food &...

Read moreThe food at Verde Mesa is pretty pricey, but the quality definitely lives up to its price tag.
The place is a cute little cafe that has this rustic look. They can't accommodate large parties, so our group of nine had to sit at two separate tables.
To start, our table shared the ceviche. It came topped with some mango. I'm not sure what kind of fish the ceviche was made from but it tasted really fresh. It had the right amount of citrus, and it didn't overpower the fish at all, like some places tend to make it. It was probably the best ceviche I've ever had in my life. We also shared the salmon tartare, which was served on a bed of avocado. This was also very fresh but if you're only ordering one raw fish dish, deffo go with the ceviche.
For my entree, I decided to keep with the fish theme. I had the tuna nicoise. This was slices of seared tuna served with a perfectly boiled egg (which in my opinion, is when the yolk is slightly undercooked), some asparagus, goat (?) cheese, and cous cous. The tuna was perfect, and I really liked the cous cous, which isn't something I would normally order - but I'm glad I did. I wasn't a fan of the cheese because it had this weird gamey or goaty taste.
For a drink, I ordered this cucumber mint concoction with some rum. I really couldn't taste any alcohol in there at all. So if you want a drink, you should probably just go with some wine.
For dessert, we had "the cloud" which is a fluffy pile of raspberry merengue with some fruits. It came with some lavender seeds, which I could have done without. I don't like lavender in my food because it makes me feel like I'm eating soap. Other than that, the dessert was light, and it was the perfect way to end the meal.
Would def...
