Let's start with truffle fries for $22. Bao Buns $26 for two fried shrimp, one in each. A super cheap designed messy space with blasting music. Is it a club or fine restaurant. When asked to lower the sound for the only three groups in the place. I was told it's the vibe and if I didn't like it go somewhere else. I was intense yes as the blaring music made me nuts. Sweet servers but incompetent. No training, no follow up, no service resolution. Of course the "manager" never lowered the music (passive aggressive). My guess is whoever owns that place wasn’t on site and from the entire experience is clueless about opening a restauant where the medium entree price is close to 49 bucks. The 5 people working the restaurant where at the bar was oblivious to the guests which made me angrier. I spent 34 years in high end dining so I am passionate when I feel a place is a hoax. I arrived my hosts also asked as well about the music which was only a part of the worst San Juan dining experience. Since my friends are nicer than me they got a tiny reduction in sound level. The meal was followed by elephant meat Duck sent back and CHARGED. No I’m sorry, here a new one, no manager non existent came over. They did take it off the bill. There were so many things I do t want to sound petty. One of many examples of incompetence. Appetizers and entrees that looked sparse and generally ugly. Your $42 Branzino is dumped on a plate with no care. Not a lousy garnish or even something to make it not look like filet of rat as is the presentation as with every dish devoid of creativity. Very Costco. Maybe Costco is better. By the way it was 715. Sure ramp up the music later when the place is in party mode ( I highly doubt it). This place doesn’t know what it is. No training nothing. I love watching the so called manager chatting leaning on the podium. Oh the server on the phone in the bathroom was a nice touch. This place will close soon. It's an embarrassment and insulting to the patrons. This is a dump. I will say the $22 Brussels sprouts were good. On the cheesy laminated Bebos style menu should be in a Dennys. I skipped the $66 dollar steak. Forget about asking for wine after a lousy cocktail and a server searching in her mind for info about offering at the bar. She said Wait a minute…. Oh yeah we have …. Ugh. There is great food in San Juan. At less than these prices go to any top restaurant I felt completed to write this and my friends will write...
Read more10/10 Vibes – Beautiful Space, Incredible Energy, and Even Better Food Had a birthday reservation for 5/31/25 at 8pm. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth—especially by the owner, who came over to personally introduce herself. She was an absolute sweetheart and set such a positive tone for the evening. Talk about a girl boss! The space is absolutely gorgeous, with a perfect mix of upscale and cozy. The DJ was phenomenal and kept the energy high, making the wait for the food feel like part of the experience.
And the food? Truly phenomenal. Every dish was packed with flavor and clearly made with care.
When the food arrived, it absolutely delivered. We had the lobster mac and cheese, which was rich, creamy, and loaded with chunks of lobster in every bite. The fried rice was anything but basic—flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and full of texture. And the fried chicken? Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. Every dish was a standout.
The wait staff was also super friendly and attentive, adding to the great atmosphere. This place hits every mark—vibes, food, music, service, and heart. Can’t recommend it enough! Wishing the owner decades of...
Read moreHumo was amazing. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we felt so welcomed by the hostess and waitress. They were so polite and treated us so well. We had awful experiences elsewhere during our trip so to finally have quality 5 star service was amazing. Because our appetizer was taking long, the hostess offered us patron shots on the house and was very apologetic about the delay. We all got the Caribbean lobster with mac and cheese and it did not disappoint. We come from the North East of the US where the lobster is saturated in butter but this was perfect. And the desserts were perfection. We ordered all three. They were kind to let us know the time it takes to make each dessert and the great thing is that they are all made fresh and on the spot versus serving a pre frozen dessert.
Overall, Humo was a 10/10, exceeded our expectations, and we would recommend it a million times over. The other restaurants in the city should take notes because this is a model and exemplar restaurant with...
