This restaurant in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico is absolutely amazing!

Best Food In Puerto Rico “During our year-long stay in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, we’ve dined at countless eateries, but none compare to the culinary gem we recently discovered. This restaurant, nestled in the heart of the city, offers an authentic Puerto Rican dining experience that surpasses all others. The food here is not just good, it’s a vibrant celebration of Puerto Rican flavors at their finest. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance transported us into a world where traditional meets contemporary. Each dish we tried was a masterpiece, perfectly balancing spices and ingredients native to Puerto Rico. Whether it was the savory mofongo or the rich, flavorful arroz con gandules, every bite was a testament to the chef’s skill and passion for local cuisine. What made our experience truly exceptional was our waiter, Xavier. His attentiveness and swift service were unmatched. He anticipated our needs, ensuring that our glasses were always full and our plates were promptly served. His knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot on, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. In a city brimming with culinary options, this restaurant stands out as the pinnacle of authentic, delicious Puerto Rican food. We’ve dined at many places, but this is the one we’ll keep coming back to. It’s more than just a meal; it’s a culinary journey through the heart of Puerto Rico’s rich gastronomic culture.”

Amazing soup, traditional Puerto Rican food. I had the soup made from plantains and my wife had the soup with chicken. The owner is very nice kind and sweet. I would highly suggest stopping into this tiny Puerto Rican restaurant to try traditional Puerto Rican food.

We ordered the sampler and it was a shame that our Alcapurias were an inch long with no meat, our Bacalaitos were little and round, not your typical bacalaito, the chicharrón de pollo was white meat with batter and tasted fishy because apparently it was fried in the same oil the Bacalaitos were fried in. The carne frita didn't seem fried at all and it also tasted like fish. Too many sorullos de maíz. Un engaño for real, for real. The only good thing was the empanadillas. Next time we'll go somewhere else to eat a real alcapurria and Bacalaito. The Waiter was too busy running everywhere but where he should have been and we had to go inside and ask for our bill because he would just not bring it. First and last...

The location is nice with inside and outside seating. The waiter was friendly. Service was extremely slow. The drinks came decently fast and he offered us chips and salsa because of the wait but the chips seemed like they weren't even cooked there. We ended up just leaving and not getting our food because it was taking an absurd amount of time. We saw multiple other tables also leave as well without having ever receiving food. It started to become a joke that this place was just a trap and they didn't actually serve food....
