If I could give negative stars, I would based on service alone. It is my last night in San Juan and after goi g to La Factoria & Catedral rooftop several times, I was ready for the next new thing during my trip. I chose this because of the location, it’s rooftop (it’s more like a patio, the space is quite small) and the great reviews online. I could not be more disappointed.

I arrived around 6:45-7pm on a Saturday night. It was not busy, but there were multiple parties dining. We were seated, ordered water and thirty minutes go by…no one comes to take our order. I am looking around and not seeing anyone eating food and the service is seemingly taking long for everyone. More time passes and it’s 8pm…still no service. I stop a bartender and place an order for a small $18 platter for my friend and I to share, no cocktails. We still never get service other than stopping the bartender to place a food order. 9pm rolls around and I have to stop a waitress and ask about our food as it’s been over an hour…she comes back and says that the kitchen is backed up, the food is done and “waiting to be plated”. I’m pretty sure our order forgot to be put in because the restaurant was not busy when we ordered. The restaurant began to pick up with 1-2 large parties. During this extensive wait, a couple is seated next to us, is not serviced, complains and ends up leaving after also not being helped. Eventually the food comes and it is tiny (but enough for 2 people), and looks like microwaved frozen food served lukewarm. It was mediocre in taste and presentation. I am angry at this point, ask for our tab and continue to wait for it, keeping up on the rooftop much longer than we needed to be after having this dreadful experience. The waitress doesn’t come to give our receipt so my friend and I walk up to the bar, pay and go. This is the first time I have ever not left a tip on a meal…but we received ZERO service.

I don’t know if there was a private party or if they were short staffed. Every restaurant has hard days but my friend and I felt quite neglected. I don’t know if the groups being serviced were locals or not but I felt as if we weren’t being helped because we were tourists. I have a lot of patience with service workers and I do not like to stiff people out of their wages but no tip was deserved. my friend and I were sitting directly under a camera and MGMT would be able to confirm that what I have typed is true. I will never be back here. If you’re going for cocktails with a fun club vibe, go to La Factoria. We also had fabulous empanadas at Dehistoria: Birria & Empanadas today and it was a...

🌟 5 Stars – A Must-Visit in Old San Juan! 🌟

N Mezzanine was an absolute gem! Tucked away with charming ambiance and a cozy, elevated vibe, this spot instantly became one of our San Juan favorites.

We tried the shrimp & pineapple dish — the flavors were bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The fish tacos were equally amazing: crispy, well-seasoned, and topped with vibrant slaw and just the right touch of spice.

To drink, we enjoyed an Old Fashioned made with Maker’s Mark — expertly crafted and smooth — and a refreshing house cocktail that was bright, citrusy, and ideal for the warm Puerto Rican evening.

Service was attentive but relaxed, and the overall vibe was chic without being pretentious. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food, creative cocktails, and a memorable experience in...
