Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in San Leandro

Food is good, service was fast, but beware of shady operators on the premises and don't turn your back on anything valuable for even a minute.

I had a very bad experience today. Ate my lunch, took a little too long and rushed out as I was late for a phone conference call. Got to my car and realized I didn't have my phone. Walked back in, and my table that wasn't cleared when I walked out no more than a minute earlier had been cleared - but no phone. I asked at the counter, and although no one was sitting near me, the employee said a man with a child had come from that area after I left. I suppose it's possible in that minute he got up and walked over, grabbed my phone and left without passing me as I came back in - but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Apparently there aren't any security cameras either to help identify who stole my phone. I was in town for business and thought I'd treat myself to lunch in between client meetings, but instead, that "treat" turned into me spending the entire afternoon getting a new phone and trying to restore my data.

Of course that is entirely my fault for forgetting my phone in the first place, but at the same time, you'd like to think you could make a mistake inside a restaurant like this and it would still be there 1-2 minutes later. Lesson learned and I'll treat myself next time somewhere else. Hoping posting this review, as well as the police report I filed, helps someone else not...

At 7:13PM I ordered a medium size pizza with six lemon pepper chicken and six buffalo chicken and six garlic bread twist and I asked them if they can please make a note not to burn the twist because every time I go they are burnt and my daughter can’t eat that and the twister her favorite part round table so they told meIt was going to take 30 to 40 minutes so by the time it was 30 minutes I Parked on the curb side and called them and let them know I was here they said it would be another 20 minutes I said that’s fine so another 20 minutes past and And the man came outside and told me was gonna be another 15 minutes so I waited 20 minutes past and I called him and they said another five minutes so I waited again by this time it’s 820 and I call him again and ask him an update a lady comes outside and brings me my order so I checked the twist and by surprise were burnt so I went inside and got into an argument with a so-called manager I was explaining to her what the situation was and she was clapping her hands in a very get away saying that no one has to yell inside there was a lot of people and everybody was talking over each other telling me that I need to stop screamingI will not recommend this place to anybody I did not feel like a valued customer and I did not leave happy if I could I would rate this...

On 4/23/2025 I had the lunch buffet with pizza and salad and was charged more than the posted price. The big sign as you walk in showed pizza was $12 and salad $3. A smaller sign at the cash register when ordering showed the same prices. I was charged $16 plus tax and when I questioned the cashier on the dollar difference he said the sign is wrong but said the price is in the computer as $16 and that's the price. I paid the price as I was hungry and was already there and wanted pizza. After maybe 10 minutes the cashier came to my table and said he asked his boss about it and gave me $1. Technically I was still overcharged 11 cents, but I wasn't going to argue with him over it. So you might be thinking someone forgot to change the signs when they updated the price, but one sign behind and above the cash register was updated. That means they knew the signs should be changed, but didn't update all. I didn't appreciate the initial dismissal about the price discrepancy. It doesn't matter what's in the computer. When you have a price prominently displayed as you walk in, that's the price. When I left, guess what? The big sign wasn't changed or atleast price wasn't covered up.
